    Guys, hi!

I am not really sure if this issue has been previously raised in here but uumm:oops: I can't seem to find a thread relating to the topic. I need your input regarding spouse and/or fiancee visa, cost-wise.

Thanks in advance for the help.

A fiancée visa will cost one more flr...say £1000 off the top of my head

A spouse visa will cost a return flight from the UK...say £500.

I'm told a Filipino wedding is like for like cheaper than in the UK.

It will cost you a lot whichever route you take. Fiance visa may cost you more than a thousand pounds for the initial entry clearance but it will cost you almost the same with spouse visa considering the flights to the Philippines and a lot of intangibles.

They also have their own advantages. You can read the link below as asked by one member here before.

The biggest cost we incurred was the second trip to the Phil's to marry after applying for the marriage licence during the first trip! I couldn't take more than two weeks off work and the marriage licence is released ten working days after application.
Flowers, food, clothes, booze were exceptionally cheap.
We chose to marry in my wife's home town to save all the aggro of four visas for her family.
And..it feels special to say we married there rather that here in the UK.

Yes , it's a nice idea I think to marry there , especially for the girl to have her family with her . Probably much cheaper than here also .

Agreed. I done mine all in 15 days in 2011. Spent the morning after the wedding with Asawa in the beach resort where we had the wedding and was on a flight home that same day.

Hi Bigmac, may I suggest it is worth checking with the Philippine Embassy in London as well as the UK Immigration web it is far better to hear what they both have to say. And beware of lawyers be they British or Filippino who say say they can do you a special turn round the only thing they can do quickly is take your money or provide forged paperwork and believe me or not UKIS (United Kingdom Immigration Service) or UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) are not fools when it comes to fake or forged documents. It does not cost a lot to marry here in the UK if you have a civic wedding.
