has anyone used the new app to upload docs direct instead of going to sopra ? We are stuck. Its not intuitive.

well--it looks like we are the first on this site to use the new app instead of attending sopra steria. The latter would be far preferable. We finally got to the "submit" at the end--now all we can do is wait for an email--and just hope it doesnt end up in the junk file.

I will be most surprised if we dont--eventually--get an email asking for more uploads..or an explanation as to what and why we have sent the ones we did.

When i think back to all the chopping and changing that has gone on through our visa journey !

    Shes got it !
    British citizenship approved.

Uploaded docs to sopra steria site on 26th may--so 7 weeks-a lot less than we expected.

her ceremoney is on 26th of this month.

    Journey just about over .

That's great news. Mica was just given a copy of the living in the UK booklet. What a joke...

Seem to remember that there are practise question on a link in one of the life in UK Facebook groups. Wife used those and passed first time. Didn't bother with the books.

Sorry to hear that Malcolm, apologies I completely missed this post, the important question is how are you both doing, how're you feeling, any obvious symptoms or have you both just tested positive?

My eldest daughter caught it about three weeks ago and she was floored for about a week, fully vaccinated and boosted but she is a department head in a private school and eventually the school events and Omicron (vaccine escape) caught up with her.

She still managed to get her holiday in Sicily though which was good, she got sufficiently better just in time.

My wife has now tested negative.. she was really ill for 2 days. Ive got the full deal..like the worst flu ever..4th day now. Muscles and joints hurt . Coughed so much my lateral hernia feels like its locked solid. Asked doctor yesterday if its ok to take my steroids to protect my lungs. If they fill up im finished.

Take care of yourself Malcolm, if you get really bad don't hesitate to go to the hospital.

That's way quicker than my 35 year old daughter got over it, Gemma was still testing very positive 7 days later.

assuming you have already got ILR ? then the citizenship online form is quite straightforward, although a lot of pages and questions.
