Hey everyone, It’s my girlfriends birthday in December (expensive month). What’s the best way to get some gifts over there or order online? Maybe flowers or chocolates that sort of thing. She thinks I’m leaving it until I go back in March but I wanna surprise her with a flower delivery or something Be good to know if you guys have used any websites before etc Thanks

There are several threads about sending flowers, if you can find them in the search . Some useful comments are there . I’ll just add my experience, avoid the company named ‘ Pick Up Flowers ‘ at all costs .
Lazada. Very reliable. I had a delivery (at our difficult to find place in the middle of nowhere) a couple of days ago. Similar to Amazon. They do C.O.D. too... if you really want to surprise her.
I've used Amazon for decades now, I was interested in Lazada which is a kind of cross between eBay and Amazon, if you use it often Graham it would be good if you were to report on it's reliability here. I tried to use them once but got knocked back, I was trying to buy something for the kids but from the UK, the order was accepted then later rejected no real explanation but I would like to see a trustworthy Philippine alternative version of eBay or Amazon, however I don't see either of the originals making serious inroads in that market, which is a shame because they are both good companies.
I have used them (Lazada) several times, ordering both from when I was sitting in the UK, and from here in the Phils. No problems whatsoever so far... touch wood. I almost always use C.O.D. when it's an option.... then it's 'their problem', not mine. One time when their local agent couldn't deliver to a relative in a remote location, (having paid with my credit card) Lazada refunded me, without fuss.
I too have used Lazada several times, ordering from within Philippines. Never had an issue and always use the COD option when available.
Good option..That way they have to pay for their own gift on delivery.. It`s the thought that counts so win win!!
