    Hi All

    just wondering if this applies

you click thru and it goes to a page saying applying outside of the UK

If you were born in the Philippines, or your parents are married or divorced and have links to the Philippines
Check the documents you need to provide if you’re applying for a first UK Passport and either:

    • you were born in the Philippines
    • your parents are married or divorced and have links to the Philippines.
    • Applying for a passport from outside the UK: applicants with links to the Philippines

Why would you/the applicant be applying from outside the UK, assuming it's part of the process to Citizenship? Is this maybe regarding a passport for a child of British/Filipino parents, currently in the PI?

Can you Post the link that got you to this info?

No just normal application for my wife after her ceremony
Don’t think a link will work as it’s related to a passport application you log into

    OK...

So, starting from the web address in the screenshot - passport.service.gov.uk - I'm trying to replicate the page you Posted...

Is your wife applying for a British passport FROM OUTSIDE the UK? Just checking, as from your reply it sounds like she has been granted ILR and the next step you are looking at is British Citizenship, then a British passport?

    Hi UKDJ

No correct she’s done FLRM ILR and Citizenship all approved and from UK
    Very confusing they make this
I think it’s just the certificate plus the old passports required

    Ifa
is she in the UK? Has she got citizenship? If the answer to these 2 questions is yes then you are applying from inside the UK.
The link you are looking at is for those who live outside the UK for whatever reason and want a British passport.
By having ILR and citizenship you are allowed to live IN the UK

Agreed - If you choose the 'wrong' link to start your application it can lead you down a rabbit-hole!
