My mother in law recently had a gall bladder removal operation and I know Philhealth or a similar system paid a certain percentage (as Andrew stated) of the operation costs and the remainder was paid by the kids, I remember this because the kids were saying she was spending too much time recuperating in hospital after the operation and it was costing them a fortune :)

Not that I've found, no. As you haver discovered, PhilHealth's web site is at best confusing and a lot of the information that one seeks simply isn't there. I know I had to visit the office in Davao and pick-up the booklet so that I could make an informed decision. I think the information is available from the Embassy in London - I say that on the basis that the Rome Embassy, which has outreaches to Malta, does hand out PhilHealth info and does accept applications.

Well, I read the title at the top of the thread. The subject seems to relate to it.

I really don't think any Englishman should make that comment. I hope I don't have to spell it out for you, but we were the people who failed to turn up, in 2013, after a vote in Parliament, which in turn stopped the Americans and the French, and allowed the Russians in.

Possibly the most shameful day since the Munich Agreement.

You're right Andrew, its my age, I thought the thread was a health related one :)

I edited my post but you were too quick.

I remember the vote in Parliament, I was in the Philippines at the time, I agree wholeheartedly we should have gone in then. I was just saying the other day that if we had gone in that the war would have been nipped in the bud.

You're taking Andrew's words too literally. By "we" he meant, of course, our armed forces which Cameron's and successive previous governments had pared to the bone with budget cuts. I am sure our armed forces are grateful they were not dispatched to Syria because based on Blair's Gulf War, they'd be snowed under by toilet rolls but there'd be a shortage of body armour, helmets and bullets. Plus the radios wouldn't have worked.

Thanks... seemed you mistook me for a simpleton again (which I am not).

I don't need you to tell me how to interpret posts. :like:
