    Hello everyone!

My husband and I applied for my spouse visa and I did my biometric last October 22. We paid for priority service and they told me to wait for 30 days at the vfs global. The thing is its been 27 days now but my husband got involved in a serious situation that he has to move out from his flat and live with his brother. Accomodation is one of the most important requirements. Do you guys think that the home office would call to my husband's previous landlord to confirm?

Very doubtful they will contact his previous landlord, I have never heard of a landlord being contacted especially if you provided everything required

Thank you Stupot10! That's a relief! I hope I can hear others opinion too. This is really stressing us out.

I'm not sure about that yet but my husband's brother owns the house and it has 2 rooms.

Thank you Heathen! I hope you are right. We've been waiting for this for almost a year now. We can't afford rejection

Whilst contact from the UKBA to landlord may not be an issue, the collection of your BRP collection will be unless your husband is able to collect his post.
When we did our spouse visa you nominated a post office you wanted to collect your BRP card from and got a letter off UKBA to say when to collect it and you had to take said letter with you to collection point, if UKBA now use a courier to deliver Brps then they will have the address where your hubby left.
Has he access to his post?

Guidance still talks about collecting from post office if applied from overseas (or sponsor but not sure if that is work or education only). Probably not an issue. Only know one other person who arrived recently and from memory sure they did collection from post office.

He still has access until December 19th. The thing is, we applied for a priority visa and they told me at the VFS global to wait within 30 days and its been 28th days now but I haven't received any update yet from the VFS. If only they can give a decision in their given time frame there will be no problem anymore.

Do you guys know the email address of the VFS global here in Makati? I can't find it in Google. I would want to ask them for the status of my visa application since their given time frame is almost due. Thank you!

Thats right Jade just try to be patient you have done all that you can, nothing more that you can do except wait, Im sure everything will be just fine, it cant be long before you get the notification that a decision has been made, then those few hours/days will be even longer while you wait for arrival/collection of the decision notice. The Covid situation both in the Philippines and here in the UK has meant (normal) working no longer exists in many instances, so best to allow a few days over and above what is usually normal.
