Did you watch the game, Dom?
If you did, what did you think of it?

Pep didn't do himself any favours by changing 8 players, and the resulting melange didn't seem to gel that good.
Some spurts of good play at time, but on the whole, for me, it was a chasing exercise.
Leaving a hill to climb by attacking in force in the last 10/15 minutes only made things worse for morale, as Chelsea, by then, decided to close the gates, but still managed to slip through and score another goal which was disallowed for offside.

Treble off the board, and if Pep ain't careful he won't have much else to gain but a Double.

Personally I thought it was a very very dull game, Pep got it all wrong my money is on a Premiership title and maybe the EFL although Moana lot will see the final as his swan song.
Pep could end up with one

    I
I stayed up and watch it, It was a poor performance by City. Chelsea defending deep sometimes 8 at the back and hitting City on the counter.

Why is the treble off the board? City could still do it but I doubt it.

I can't see JM leaving Spurs until a new season has ended with the crowds back in.
Their new stadium is very good and it is in the "big smoke".

It seems like more teams are coming closer to understanding the way City play.

Pep will want to leave City with a CL Cup under his belt and is pressurising himself tremendously, I don't think much else will matter for him.
The consolation prizes will only spur him to try again for the ultimate Cup.
After that he will move on to greener pastures, like he has done before.

Besides, he loves keeping maureen off the running for the same trophy.

All the players worked their socks off for him and the team against Everton the other night (the best I've seen the toffees play this season).
Everton were the better side but Spurs didn't throw the towel in.

I watched the Everton v Tottenham, Newcastle v West Ham , Chelsea V City games and our own Wolves v Sheff Utd game I have come to the conclusion that after Man City/Utd, Chelsea and to an extent Leicester the teams are very much of a muchness, and this season which is a season with a difference (without crowds, plus Covid issues with players) it has mainly come down to squad depth, Tottenham and Arsenal have been the big losers out of the teams with good squad depth, outside of those teams the others ie the Evertons, West Hams, Villa and even my own Wolves have struggled to compete against the bigger Teams due mostly to this squad depth as an example against Sheff Utd last night we were down to the bare bones apart from our back up keeper the rest of our bench was made up of 8 players under 22, and i know Everton have had similar issues, Wolves style of play has suffered greatly and it has become a chore to watch them play, almost like waiting to visit the dentist, and usually painful to watch :D.
As for Mourinho i think his days are numbered the media seem to be targetting him yet again and the issue of Harry Kane and Gareth Bale wont go away, Bale is a shadow of the player he once was, and I think Harry,s future will determine whether or not Mourinho stays or goes his style has always been built on a strong defence but this Spurs defence cant defend which is the basis of a Mourinho team that defends and hits teams on the counter attack. I personally think if Harry stays Jose stays, if Harry goes then i think Jose goes but whatever happens i think Harry Kane will have a big say in Mourinhos future..

Wolves were one of the most exciting teams to watch over the last few years.
Am I right in saying that the head injury to Raul Jimenez changed Wolves' progress more than anything else?

Yes you are partly correct, but it is/was also the added issue of selling Docherty to Tottenham, and Jota to Liverpool no-one could have foreseen that Raul was going to fracture his skull which then meant we had lost our top 3 goalscorers from last season, at the time of Rauls injury we were i believe 5th in the League, we are also missing Johnny Otto our left back with a major knee injury for most of the season he is a tough little bugger, but has broken down again with another injury to the same knee and its looking doubtful if he will be able to make a full recovery as thats 2 injuries in no time to the same knee.
