Has anyone experienced these kind of business setups in the Philippines? The reason I ask is because I’ve had two people trying to draw me into what appears to be little more than a pirimid scheme in the Philippines. Now, I’m not even tempted to even think about joining, but the people who have joined are friends and inlaws.

Has anyone experienced Royale in particular?

Multi-level as in, at one level you put money in and at another level they take it out ? I have no knowledge of such businesses Kuya.

A certain Vanessa Palermo Baudouin posted this thread in an attempt to promote this outfit a couple of months ago. Dom's and my replies say it all, really.

Ahh yes, I skimmed over it after you both had your say on there. I've had it twice now, but the girl (who is a close friend of Joy from Cebu) who tried to sell me this 'business plan' was also pretty pushy, in fact I sensed a possible desperation to get a new sign up in it all.

She also asked Joy to sign up, but I've put my foot down on that one.

Oh boy, I just know she's going to lose a lot of money on this.

I don't know the numbers for sure but I would guess that the first few layers of a pyramid scheme would be able to recruit quite large numbers maybe even 2 orders of magnitude per layer, so the top layer gets a hundred followers, layer two gets similar penetration lets say average one hundred per activist, so layer's 1, 2 and three rigidly interpreted would create a pyramid of 10,101.

If layer three were sufficiently geographically dispersed it might also get to see one hundred new recruits per activist that takes the count to 1,000,000. Pyramid kickbacks up the tree usually mean that the top layers get rich very fast, but it is layer 4 or 5 that pays for that because by that time they all start trying to sell to each other and the whole thing becomes locally visible.

Clearly if the average layer recruitment is lower you can deepen the pyramid (more layers) but it never lasts long before sales collide in any one locality, that's when it all becomes far too obvious even to the poor sods that got duped into it in layer 4 or 5.
