    Hi everyone!
Has anyone any tips on using a sim card in the Philippines, going for a holiday next month. Apparently a new law has been passed forcing all sim cards to be registered. In terms of cost, is it best to buy a sim card in the Philippines (and simply register it), or buy one here from a UK mobile company, in the UK

It's all crap now, just buy a SIM when you get there, don't bother registering it because they will invalidate the SIM in 30 days anyway.

Ten years I've had my current SIM, registered it in December then found out that all foreigners on a visa waiver will be treated the same way, they can't cope with the sheer number of registrations so they only just got round to telling me a) I am registered and b) hard luck it expires on March 19th.

Idiotic legistation but they won't change it.

Got my Globe sim and Smart sim registered. Globe I did it myself but smart was a pain, so I took it downtown to Robinson's mall and a nice lady who worked for smart helped me register my sim.
