The brain drain, I have known a lot of people over a lot of years who have graduated, and all, without exception, wanted a life abroad.

Its crazy.. So. Most are on around 13.000 peso a month... Thats what most are on so ive heard... Think my wifed worked at the airport naia and was on that.. They should be recognised.. Probably the most talented and caring trestment you will ever recieve from anyone who is a phili nurse.. Im. Sure i read last year that duterte was going put their wages up... Seems like it never happened

Wooow you cant blame them..studying so. Long... Just to earn basic wage
My wife couldnt wait get out of there... Because of wage and exhausting.. Shes on basic wage here £8.72 and things thats amazing!!! Shes happy.
I love phili i want live there... She moans when i say that.. Because she said i couldbt sustain it due to the low low wage... I dunno... I just miss it there... People... Hot weather... You dont reslise what we have here until we go there.. Most dont have hot water there etc.. Its weird... But i love it....
But yeh nurses are so under appreciated there... Or else they would be on alot more than that

I would tend to agree even if 35000 a month was real across the entire country that's still only £6500 a year, my kids would struggle to retain their standard of living if I sent that little.

While there might be some truth in the numbers in large Metropolitan areas even the best paid are earning less than £10,000 a year so it is hardly surprising that they would want to work in countries like the UK.

It is fiction, I just did one Google check on nurses salaries this year the got totally different results, less than 10k for a registered, I know family members with 2 years experience taking home less than 6k for a full month, got a specialist nurse (can't remember what he specialised in) who now works in Australia as an uber driver to support his family back home in pinas. It's the philippines, you found stats of 15000 as a low, I found stats of 8000 as a low quoting the DOLE, Er indoors is a health care professional, worked as such in a number of countries, two of her nieces back in the PI take home less than 6k a month, the only way I can explain the figures is........ Its the Philippines :ninja:

I was going to mention teachers, at the bottom end elementary teachers are on about 14000 a month some older more experienced teachers earn a bit more, oddly the private sector teachers are less well paid than the public school teachers (for everyone else public = state in the Philippines).

Funny you mention teachers, my sons cousin has been teaching in the PI for a number of years on a fake degree, I think she teaches at a state school, she bought the degree in manila.

That reminds me that when I was working in Libya, some people were buying degree certificates in Malta, to enable them to enter Libya to work there. :D

Sister in Law is a primary school teacher with a degree from a university in Valencia / Dumuguete. I think she gets about £400 a month salary.

I remember you mentioning it, civil engineering, is she doing online reviews? Save yourself some dosh and get her any engineering quals she needs or wants for 100 USD in manila, just tell her to also get a fake set of documentation in case she needs to skip town and assume a new ID if a newly built bridge or office block she is working on collapses :ninja:

Um, no, but good luck on her polish quest, I know two poles married to filipinas living in London, seriously though her best bet is to get her civil engineering licence, do a few years in the PI for experience then skidaddle abroad for good cash in a decent country.
