Scholz vows to speed up deportations after Solingen stabbings

The suspect in the Solingen attack came to Germany in 2022 as a Syrian refugee. Usually Syrians have a good chance of being granted asylum in Germany.

But his application was rejected and he was ordered to be deported to Bulgaria, because he had already registered for asylum there. Officials say when they tried to deport him, they could not locate him and he remained in Germany.

Now a row has broken out about who was responsible for that failing.

BBC report: no mention of racism or racist and only one reference to the far right when talking about the leader of the AfD.

And of course: no mention of another pissed-off-knife-wielding-Islamic-religious-nutter who's had is application for asylum refused, no:

The alleged attacker - named as 26-year-old Issa Al H. - is suspected of links to the terror organisation Islamic State.

    No - this is terrorism.

    2017 London Bridge...

I hope Germany get a better grip on it than our pathetic lot have/did.

They need to chip these people and keep them locked up in secure compounds until they've been comprehensively vetted and processed as either an "in" (integrate to our society) or "out" (deport) .

    Update:

The German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has urged mainstream parties not to lend support to the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which won a big victory in the eastern state of Thuringia in Sunday's regional election.

The result gives the far right its first win in a state parliament election since World War Two.

The AfD also came a close second in Sunday's other big state election, in the more populous neighbouring state of Saxony.

Looking at Germany and the underlying problems in UK I wonder if Farage will be tempted to form an Alternative for England party to take on the mainstream parties.

    'Patriotic' now = 'Far Right'.

Most western countries are now run by naive, cowardly clowns, and foreign infiltrators. Very sad... the future that has already been laid down for their future generations, and the crushing of a way of life that millions of fine young people lost THEIR lives, trying to defend and preserve.

The problem is with these asylum seeking/refugee laws is that they were designed to protect the rights of people with a genuine case.

Unfortunately they have been, and continue to be, exploited and made a mockery of by lawyers, and thousands upon thousands of people who do not have genuine cases.

What gets my rag is, as you refer to above:
    1. This country fought to preserve our way of life and what they fought for has been gradually thrown away at the expense of the poor to the benefit of our rich corporations and their owners (most of whom make up our political elite) - makes me want to throw up and
    2. Any ordinary man on the street who tries to speak up, or out, against immigration has for last 50 years or so been immediately classed as a racist; and now that term doesn't fit - they're being called far right ffs.
I suspect Lucy Connolly isn't a genuine racist or far right but she's probably got to the point where she doesn't know what else to do - other than start or encourage other people to commit violence against the people she sees as "invading" her country - simply because no-one is listening to her or others like her who keep saying they do not want more and more immigration.

genuine def. = truly what something is said to be; authentic.
