    Hi,

    Does anyone drink/like Soya Milk?
    It's a long shot, I know.........

I have been watching a set of health videos where the man was saying how bad Milk is for humans.
I have often bought Soya Milk from the supermarket and really like the taste with cereal (Aldi's bran flakes right now.)
I wonder if anyone has bought Soya beans in bulk and made the milk at home by boiling etc., or whether someone here has bought one of these:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product..._act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AC288XDWS6QSX

YouTube videos show Asian ladies making Soya Milk in their kitchens.

This is cheap but looks naff:

Used to be semi involved with a tofu operation 30 years ago and that was made with soaked crushed and boiled beans

I also really like Tempeh fried in slices bit of tamari just like bacon

It has a big sale in east Asia as most East Asians apart from the Filipinos are lactose intolerant

I like it. Used to drink a lot of it when I lived in Hong Kong. Probably got out of the habit here because the stuff from cows is cheaper.

Me and the missus drink it on a regular basis, as there is a great little Tofu restaurant near where we live, that makes their own.

I am a fairly new convert to Tofu, however i haven't got the hang of how to cook the stuff yet.

For thousands of years, humans have been drinking milk or eating derivative foods made from milk, and just because some bloke, whom I never heard before in my life, says that it is not good for people there is panic in the air......

I do drink chocolate flavoured soya milk from time to time, but generally in winter.
Any other soy product I happily leave on the shelves making sure that vegetarians and vegans cannot blame me for any shortages of rabbit food affecting their diets.

If we start denying ourselves of things we enjoyed eating profusely, or not, in the past, we may as well give up on life as we know it.
Good, flavoursome, wholesome decent food vs repetitive blandness...... regardless how it is disguised.

Respectfully, tho......... To each his own choices.

Soy milk in coffee, to me, tastes awful.........

I agree with Dom, as with most food substitutes it doesn't quite hit the spot, original is always best :)

Soya Milk on Bran Flakes or Shredded Wheat tastes much better IMO.

I still use skimmed milk for a cup of regular tea but mostly drink green tea with jasmine (bought from Lidl) and no milk these days.
