It makes sense, I know when my wife came over we decid3d to leave her youngest daughter aged 15 at the time in the Philippines, whilst my wife settled in.

My wife finally went to UKVI earlier and submitted all the required documents.
We went for priority processing so hopefully we'll get the results in 4 to 6 weeks.

We've satisfied the financial requirements, accommodation and other requirements but I'm still feeling nervous though.
Spouse visa is expensive! lol

Update:

We've now been sent a message that our application been received at the UK Decision Making Centre and that it is being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Just wondering how long will the process take and what sort of things we should expect next.

Is there going to be an in-person interview?

They commit to getting the decision to you usually within 30 days
See the message you got as progress as your application will soon I would suspect within the next day or two be with the decision maker I would speculate on getting a decision by end of next week, but that is just my opinion!
There is as such no face to face interview but she will have to attend a CFO seminar and get her CFO sticker placed in her passport cannot fly wiithout it, don't think you can book seminar till you have a positive decision and the visa number.
CFO is all about Philippines embassy ensuring the applicant is leaving for the right reasons not being trafficked etc.
There is no pass or fail mark and if the relationship is genuine no dramas.
When my wife attended she was asked stuff like was I working if so who for, where she will live, ie Ealing London did I have family etc etc all stuff they can pick off the application as I say any genuine relationship won't produce drama

Although not strictly on Topic this may have some interest, My eldest Son has a business here in UK he is the CEO and has a small management team here, but he has 30 Filipinos that work for him they are all in their home country, they do on line research for him, normally him and his management team take a trip over to the Philippines once a year, but for the coming year he has decided to bring his Team over to UK all 30 of them. So I suggested to him to get his young half brother plus the Mother lumped in to this block Visitors Visa application, so all 32 of them are sitting in Manila at the same Hotel at this moment and tomorrow Saturday 6th, Immigration officers will turn up at this Hotel and do the necessary checks on them all.

Personally I think the Mother of my young Son will be rejected as she has no good reason to return back to her home country, I put a lump sum into her bank account a couple of months back, but they will notice this has only been there a short period and since they go back for a full 6 months they will see she gets an allowance from me every month but likely it has all gone withing a few days? she has no job and although she lives in the house that I built, it was never put in her name but her Fathers as she is already Married and the Husband although estranged could possible make a claim on this?

Being a block booking as this is, I'm trying to kid myself on that she may just squeeze through it all and slip through the net, but reality tells me this is highly unlikely?

However I'm sure the other 30 will get theirs, it will be interesting how my young Sons application will be viewed? at this very same time I am going through the process to obtain his British Passport, we both had our DNA tests done just the other day and we are waiting the results, I have no concerns that this will not have a positive outcome.

It depends on how old your children are.

I was pretty lucky that I had a UK child passport when I was young.
I wasn't born in the UK though my dad is British and my mum became a naturalised UK citizen through marriage.

None of my half-siblings (through my mum) though were able to get British passports due to them being over the age of 18.

What a quick turnaround!

Here's the breakdown
- 3,283 GBP - Health Insurance
- 2,022 GBP - Application Fee
- 500 GBP - Priority visa Fee

Total = 5805 GBP

Application was made in the PH.

It is. That was why I was stressing. lol

But it was a smooth process though and as long as you and your wife satisfies all the requirements, it should be hassle-free.

We didn't even get any email or further request for documents.
