Depends on when done. Back in 2018 could definitely do the course before visa application and get the completion certificate. Then had to return with the certificate and the passport with visa in order to get the sticker that went into the passport.

Wife had the CFO certificate for about a year before got visa and sticker in passport. Didn't run out so no issues with getting the certificate early even if did use it straight away.

When we did ours 2015 and 2017 you could do the CFO seminar and return for the stamp once you had your visa.

Do they expire potentially a paper one, yes, in September 2023 the Philippines moved to e certificates and any person with a paper certificate was/is advised to move to an e certificate this especially applies to Filipinos returning to the Philippines and then wanting to leave again.

If your wife has an e certificate she will be ok, if a paper one then I suggest you explore how to get the e certificate.

My wife didn't have to do those and was just granted her Evisa.

No CFO seminar whatsoever.

She must attend a CFO seminar think it can be done online it's for all departing citizens of the Philippines and is separate to the granting of the visa have a look on this link

on a serious note after the CFO its literally the plane ticket,where will she fly into, are you going over to fly back with her?

I'll be picking her up in London.
She said she wants to go around and take photos whatnot for a day or two before we head back to the Midlands.

I already warned her not to act casually whilst in London and be attentive of her phone and belongings. lol

London is much worse now when it comes to theft compared to Manila.
