All my supporting docs I took up to VFS offices in London where they scan and and send away to Sheffield. Other offices are available. Of course there is a fee, £70 for scanning and £20 courier to get papers returned.

Once you submit the application online, the next thing is payment of IHS, visa fee, then book appointment section, you will choose which Visa Center, then you can pick a date.
I didnt found the upload button when I submit my documents, I just took it with me in VFS Manila which is much easier I only paid 670pesos for scanned and they returned the docs afterward.

oohhhh, Evidence of a Pension - really, you mean your retired and get your pensions or your working you didn't show evidence of pensions , this was part of the refusal for the visa. I don't have a pension at all and I am working (contract work -recruitment agency work) no pension. I sure hope it will not play apart in my spouse visa applying for next month.

pensions count as income for visa sponsorship puposes--not the contributions.
    are you self employed ?

I assume you mean you don't contribute to a pension scheme as you work for an agency.
The fact you don't contribute will not matter to your application.
You must meet the financial threshold regardless

Thank God for that about the pensions options. As we all know filling in the SPOUSE visa is stressful. I work for an agency, rolling year contract classed as full-time with no pension. not self-employed. Thank you for fast replies. I panicked when I read about the person getting spouse visa REFUSED for missing pension details. Very sad for him and his lady.

its only if someone--like me--has a pension and uses it as income as part of the financial requirement. the person you are referring to was successful at the second attempt though.

in your case--you need to prove an income of £18,600. a year ( minimum) if you are in full time employment. thats gross--before tax and NI stoppages. i take it there are no children with your wife ?

what i suggest you do--when you start the online application form, ( you will need an email address and a password for this )---is share it with your spouse, so she can also log into the form and you can both fill it in together.....just in case you get any of her family details wrong. you can access--change--add--delete--scrap it all and start again as often as you like. ( i did ours 3 times before i was satisfied with it ...fiancee visa ).

once your happy with the application, you may do what some others have done:

type up a list of all documents and evidences you are planning to submit---and post them on here for others to check to see if you missed anything. just omit any personal stuff--real names addresses phone numbers etc.

When applying for spouse and child dependent visa, is there any recommendation on how long (how many years) should be left on passports? Just realised my step daughters expires in 2021

    Thanks

No as long as they are valid at the time of application

They specify that the passport must have at least two completely blank pages, back to back to paste in the visa vignette. Usually they say you should have at least 6 months validity to run. You will have to be prepared to renew passport when necessary and make sure you retain the one with the visa and endorsements.
Incidentally I finally managed to make appointments for bio's for my wife and daughter at VFS Cebu, in spite of the VFS website crashing several times during the payment process. My bank has authorised 4 payments but I hope two of them will not be collected. Its a nightmare trying to work through badly constructed websites. And being quoted in UK£ but Worldpay takes it in US$ at a piss poor Rate of Exchange adding about £100 to each application. Uploading documents for free does not work, after I went through the process of uploading 23 docs, pressing upload after each one, the site crashed when I tried to move on to book appointments and nothing appears to have been saved. They'll just have to pay P670 to get the docs uploaded at VFS. I will be addressing my complaints to my MP after we finish the process.

    Oh dear.

Visa ran out on the 20th July but application submitted and paid for on the 19th so just need to present the documents and have until 20th Sept to do so.

However, because the visa has expired Joan’s been sent home from work as they’re not sure if she’s allowed to work with an expired Visa.

visa status remains the same while awaiting a decision. She is allowed to continue to work

That’s what I assumed; she’s obviously legally entitled to be here until at least Sept 20th and then until the application decision, so it sounds like her employers are clueless and covering their backs.

I’ll check online later to find something ‘official’ stating she’s OK to work and forward it to her workplace.
