    Hi All,

    A couple of questions:

    Company letter

Who is this addressed to? Would it be To whom it may concern at UK immigration?

    Bank Statements

My bank only provides printouts that look like photocopies! Will this be OK if my company salary slips reconcile against the bank payments? I am in the Philippines at the moment so no way to visit a branch to get them notarised/signed off.

    Accomodation

We intend to stay at my parents initially while looking for somewhere to rent. They own their own house and they have 2 free bedrooms plus a living room.

I am hoping this is acceptable for a me , my wife and 2 young children ( 3yo and 1yo). is a letter sufficient from them or do we need additional info like floor plans etc?

So in total 4 adults. One baby of 1 year old and one 3 year old in a bungalow with 3 bedrooms plus one large living room. I understand that the babies can stay in the same room.

    Any ideas please :)

I've only applied for the fiancee visa but ....

Your bank will send you proper statements in the post (free of charge hopefully). You must send bank statements. Don't ask for them until you need them though as they must be 6 months until at the most 28 days before your application. Same goes for mortgage statements. Just call them and they will send them out. I assume you have a skype account for overseas calls or something similiar

To the Philippines? By POST?! In which century would you like them to arrive?!!

Seriously Max, PhilPost can not be relied upon to deliver a greetings card on time - or more often, at all - so I wouldn't risk sending needed and time-sensitive documents by that particular means. And I doubt any bank would send them by courier (DHL or FedEx) and certainly not for free.

The sensible solution would be for the OP to grant either (or both) his parents Power of Attorney (a UK-based solicitor could provide a sample of the form of words to be used) so that they can call on his bank and collect the original bank statements. In addition, they could assist by receiving and collating the documents bundle that is to be sent to Sheffield which would, of course, include those Bank Statements. Unless, of course, the OP plans to travel ahead and bring all the documents with him.

The OP needs to check with the Passport Office's web site: he will almost certainly find that he will NOT be able to apply for his foreign-born children's British Passports AFTER they have arrived in the UK. He needs to apply for their Passports whilst they are still in the country of their birth.

Ah good point. I assumed his bank account was a UK one and had a UK postal address atached to it.

    Thank you for the feedback.
    • My bank account is linked to my family address so no problems there. Although the photocopy like format is a problem. I foolishly turned off receiving statements!!
    • I am in the Philippines at the moment. Any issue with sending the spouse Visa docs via Cebu VFS? They can check all the docs at the time of sending. Or is sending to Sheffield quicker / less of a problem.
    • I contacted the Passport office and they said it would OK to apply for a passport for the kids when in the UK on a ROA/COE.
    • Any ideas on who to address my company letter to ? UK Immigration?
    • is the accommodation situation listed above an issue?

    Many thanks!

    Richard

In that case you can order posted statements.

    Hi DM,

I did order previously but they look like draft copies/ photocopies in black and white. Just wondering if they are acceptable for UK immigration?

Address company letter "To whom it may concern"
Ask bank to put in cover letter stating thhat the copies of your statements are a true record.
    Accomadation situation is fine.

    :( When is your wedding?

You still need to give notice of marriage and then 28 days waiting period.

Yes on August 16th, we've been told the visa will be turned round quickly after that. I am hoping she will travel here a week later... fingers crossed.

My assuption is that in requesting that the biometrics are redone that the rest of the application is ok.

Asking and getting an answer are two different things! Luckily Mica has the answer in an email. I have been told to wait 15 working days for an answer

    Dear Michael,
Thank you for providing your contact information. The Consulate will aim to finalize your application as soon as your biometrics are enrolled. Will you be able to attend the next scheduled Temporary Enrollment Location on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 8:30 am?
    Please let us know.

    Hi All,

We got a knock back from NARIC and now need to do the IELTS examination.

The issue is my last payslip was 29/7 and if we do the IELTS on 23/8 ( IELTS confirmation will be received in 2 weeks time only) so we will be over the 28 days limit to apply for the spouse visa ( based on payslip date of 29/7 and 28 day rule).

My company has sent all the docs to me already.

    • Do i need to request an additional signed payslip for 29/8 from my company and can then send in all the other docs and previous payslips dated 29/7.
    • Or do i need to request that they complete all the documentation again and date everything for the 29/8 to match the payslip of 29/8

I hope not as they will be pissed!!

Thanks for guidance on this one.

We didnt submit any signed payslip as my hubby’s company has a downloadable version. We just submitted a printed version pf those along with bank cert and COE.

My take is that if the net amount in the payslip matches the net pay amount in the bank for 6 months, then the salary in the coe shows a salary above the threshold, then home office doesnt mind if its signed or not (but make the COE signed (it was also stamped with company seal)).
