Proper summer right now in glasgow at 20c and high of 26c around 3pm. My chance to wear my ph clothes, sombrero, sunnies and sunblock! They say that summer is amazing over here and now i agree: when its sunny, its beautiful!
BBQ at my place this weekend. i bought a gas barbi the other week--needed a gas bottle to exchange. got one with some gas in it--works fine. took it to get a refill--the gas guy said its 3/4 full--result! saved me £40 for a bottle rental--plus £30 for gas----i gave a tenner for it--so saved £70. the bloody barbi was only £85 ! now to get a packet of beefburgers and a 4 pack of lager.
A barbie sounds perfect. Pity I'm working all bank holiday weekend. But on the up side im off tomorrow and supposed to be hottest day of the week
Fond memories of Butlin's Pwllheli in the early 70s - chips & beans every day, huge scalextric track and me in my T. Rex t-shirt!
i can just remember butlitz pwlleli when i was about 5--1952. also skegness. i can also remember taking my kids to minehead in the late 70's. end of their season. not a good idea.
Looking at that picture you need to refrain from eating all those beef burgers, since you last posted a picture of yourself you've put a lot of weight on and grown tits
Summer in Glasgow and the west coast in general is nice but often brief you should pay a visit to Kelvingrove Park on a nice sunny day if you get the chance it is lovely. These days May is very often the best month at least that was my experience before I had to leave Scotland, friends tell me that recent summers have been very disappointing. Oh and one thing, you can just about guarantee that it will rain during the Glasgow Fair, the last two weeks of July which are the traditional Glasgow holiday it was a standing joke when I was a wee boy
