    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if you need to show a tenancy agreement for the spouse visa?

at the moment I am not on the tenancy agreement and it will cost me £300 to be added on so I thought I would ask if I need it. I am on the council tax though.

You need to be on it or the very least a letter from landlord stating the is aware of you living there and is happy for you to do so.

thanks, i guess i need to me added to the tenancy agreement then. The other thing is that I am sharing the apartment with my friend so hopefully that wont be a problem as its a two bedroom apartment. I plan to rent a house after my wife gets her visa. I am just trying to save money atm by sharing.

This is suitable for you use for a Spouse visa its what i did, i dont have a tenancy agreement, ask your landlord for a letter and saying that you live there and that the accomodation will not be overcrowded with your wife staying, just trying to save you a few quid.
