Well, you truly get what you pay for. The Marriott, Cebu City is a 4 star hotel offering spacious, clean rooms. Excellent bathroom facilities, TV, Internet etc. It is also located a short walk to the Ayala shopping centre, so a Jollibee, Pizza Hut or whatever is simply around the corner The breakfast buffett on offer in the dining room is (so I have been told) the best in Cebu, and I had no reason to doubt that whilst enjoying it. They have a pool area, live bands at night, gym, lounge bar. If you wanted (and could afford it) you could spend your evenings in this hotel and be happily entertained or go back to your room for some Filipino or Australian TV, Internet or simply to sleep in their huge beds. The only downside is not really their fault, that is the taxi drivers who pull up outside are hit and miss. Some will use a meter and only charge you whatever it is on their meters. Others will try and triple the price and charge a lot of money for going short distances. The location of the Marriott is perfect for Cebu as is close to shopping centres, bars, restaurants and access to a taxi is a simple nod to the gentleman at the door. Will I stay here again? I hope so!!!
The only problem I ever experience with taxi drivers is if we both dont know where we are going LOL this is Cebu specific I should add
