I had wanted to go to Bohol for quite a few years, so when we were in the Philippines last May 2010 we decided to spend a few days there. I was very impressed with the island and we had a really great time. Traffic is much more disciplined. Mostly the streets were clean, the air much less poluted and a very relaxed 'country living' style about everyone. We stayed at The MetroCentre Hotel and Convention Center Tagbilaran City Very nice clean hotel, super rooms and facilities and reasonable prices. We paid P2000 for a deluxe double room including great breakfast. Just across from the entrance is a well stocked convenience store. Even get your beachwear there too. I'd love to visit Bohol, Ana's tatay was born there but she has never been on the island, we got close to going there in 2006 and thought about taking a boat over from Mactan but our time was limited and funds were limited as well sadly I'm envious of Fred living where he does
I want to go to Bohol perhaps more than any of the islands in Pinas, and my mahal is heading there this coming Thursday, so I will be asking her how she found it and if she wants to go again next year when I am there
