Onions (price of) are causing a kerfuffle in Manila. (price is peso equivalent). Screenshot_20230103_202812.jpg

Couldn't buy onions on a lot of days, could not find brown onions anywhere in Manila and the price was shocking for red onion and they were all tiny which made cooking preparation really awkward.

I also used to eat brown onions all the time but once my wife moved to the UK and brought home red onions, that's the only type we eat now. We also chop them up and scatter onto lots of food dishes as they are not as "sharp" as the brown ones. Lovely.

My wife said she never saw anyone wearing onions on her island.
    English: One onion, two onions.
Cebuano: usa ka sibuyas, duha ka sibuyas.
    EspaƄol: una cebolla, dos cebollas.

The Dutch Government are all set to disable their local agricultural sector by compulsory purchasing 3000 highly productive farms. They are doing this to reduce Nitrogen levels?
I think that's about one third of total operating farms.I could be wrong.
As this lunacy spreads through Europe, how long will it be before Onion prices in the Philippines seem reasonable?

Could compliment the stinky fish, and I'm not trying to be facetious, just a joke. :like:
Actually, my wife tried the stinky fish once and I moaned so much that she never tried it again
