My youngest son asked me about these, took me ages to try and explain it.[IMG]

I remember my Dad doing Littlewoods when I was a young lad, I think a collector came around every week.

The image of a pools form brings back vague memories, no idea how it was played.

You marked "x" where you thought it would be a score draw.
    8 goes per line.

3 points for every score draw.
24 points (8 score draws) = Jackpot or share of, depending on how many more winners with 24 point

    Easy peasy

My memory was 8 from 10

My Dad thought he had won back in 1972 we got fairly jolly but later realised it was half time score:(

This was the time when you were deadly quiet, or you'd get a good hiding from mother first, then dad when he'd finished ticking off the boxes. SERIOUS STUFF !

I remember my Nan always watched the wrestling, it looked like bad acting.

I miss those Saturday afternoons of some of the best ever British TV. :(

Here are two of my favourites. What entertainers they were. :D

Watching wrestling on the telly was one of my mums greatest pleasures. Still remember some of the names, Vic Faulkner, Bert Royal, Giant Haystacks. God bless mum x

    He was indeed.

He against Giant Haystacks was a real treat... and fun watching the ring move around the venue. :D

Everyone should have gone to a LIVE wrestling event at least once back in the day.

I did, just the once, and it was one of the most enjoyable nights out I've ever had. :)

The screaming and cat-calling from the audience, the humour, and the genuine skill and timing of the wrestlers, was just fantastic.
