There are 35 distinct users on this site who have explicitly ignored someone else, three of those users are banned (that's from memory, there might be others but I'm not familiar with a lot of them) most of them are names you would not even know, there appears to have been some strange personal battles going on between members, battles that were never noticed in public. Those 35 distinct users have ignored a total of 62 individuals, some of the ignores are mutual, what this means is that there are in total 62 records in the database where one user ignores another. The highest number of individual ignores by one person is seven. Surprisingly one of the most helpful gentlemen ever to post here, Peter, was blocked by two of the ladies, no way did he deserve that. Seeing who else blocks whom is interesting some feuds are clear from posting history but lots are not. For info I've run this query periodically for years and the numbers have not changed much. That's from a membership of over five and a half thousand, of those 200 (exactly 200) have been active members since the 1st of October, 504 have been active members since 1st of June, that's people who have ever been members at any time in the past and who have checked in during those timeframes and read something.
As a foreigner I am loathe to comment on Philippine Politics even anonymously on a board like this one, your link makes interesting reading, all I can say is I will be interested to keep up to date with events like this over there. And anything that improves the lot of the working men and women and their families in the Philippines is to be welcomed, god knows they need things to improve.
It can be overrated When I worked for myself I worked 2 or 3 days a week at home and billed for it but I really enjoyed my time on site with my customers as well, it's not good to spend too much time on your own, Mr Duterte seems to need that luxury right now
Reorganised, I know what I'm doing with it now, the software is not that intuitive, this is sequenced to my tastes but feel free to tell us to change it.
Since 2017 I have been working from home. It has its plusses and minuses. Best of all is just rolling up for work in the boxers and calling the wife for a bacon butty and a cup of tea.
Cheers for looking at this and the alterations I think having the contentious area at the bottom looks good! I have a view and it is only my view ,others may feel different that we need to for want of abetter phrase step the forums to reflect a new arrival in the UK. I didn't know that - what were they banned for? I always thought Markham was a bit of a pompous **** but I put that down to him being some kind of expert - not sure of what. Seems like Boots is back already ?
I also didn't realise that they had been banned. Can we know more about this, as in why were they banned?
Em Malcolm, could you remove that, this is not a private area and we should not have verbatim quotes from their site, they could take action against us.
although as i deliberately omited names of site and members usernames i wouldnt have thought there would be problems for this site? lets hope now the 2 troublemakers are gone this site can resume its purpose.
Yeah but it was quotes, and I don't know but maybe we could have had copyright problems, plus we don't really want to give them public backlinks to that site, Google will crawl those and make connections. Some old members like ChoiandJohn are back more girls are posting and nobody is slagging each other over politics, people are still being helped so I agree I hope the site gets back to what it's for.
I thought I would resurrect this thread because I'm curious. Has the site gotten back to what it was? It's great to see a number of troublesome characters gone like my friend Graham but it seems strangely quiet... Anyways ill share the news thst choi and have just had a second baby in Sept. So that's a 3 month old, and a 2 year old and two teenage girls now. House is like a bombsite.
Congratulations. I doubt you know what a bombsite is, until you have 6 rugrats like I did. Kind of miss it........ tho
Congrats on the new addition to the family as for Graham, he was OK, we shared mutual friends when living in HK
