The wife saga continues - now a work visa

After trying the spouse visa route which fell through due to sickness missed appointments and redundancy - it appears my wife could be coming over on a work visa 2-5 years .

Would that make any difference to our/permanent stay application ?

Or just be a sweetener

did you apply for a spouse visa--and get refused ?

IIRC that a work visa can not be converted to settlement visa. Your wife will have to return to the Philippines at the end of her work visa.

No - she got sick and missed appointment and I got made redundant a week later.
