With some 9.4 million Filipinos residing in various parts of the world, it's unlikely for a Filipino to go to a country and not find kababayans there.

Here are the top ten destinations of Filipinos based on data from the Commission on Overseas Filipinos (2010):

    1. United States of America

Number of Filipinos: 3,166,529 (CFO, 2010)

BBC describes KSA as “one of the most devout and insular countries in the Middle East,” which “has emerged from being an underdeveloped desert kingdom to… one of the wealthiest nations in the region.”

Even though there are vast cultural differences between the Philippines and KSA, many Filipinos still flock to the oil-rich kingdom. Based on data from the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), KSA was the country where the highest number of Filipino workers were deployed in 2010.
