I didn't know where to put this - so I'll put it in 'General.'

Firstly, thanks to Sean (Kuya) for making some fantastic changes to the forum - he is a hero in my opinion for what he has done!! (Cheque in the post Sean??????)

Secondly, the introduction of a Pinoy music chart reminded me of how much so-called music proliferates our new century...etc... I realise that times and trends change - but, I am a 60s child - and I know what (in my opinion) passes for music. Indeed, I also know what music will be (and IS) played for 100 years and 100 days!!!

I would therefore like to open a huge can of worms and ask people for their top 10 albums of all time.

I present to you all, my good friends, my choice! Please remember once again - I am a 60s child - I look forward to your own contributions and comments.

    Peace in music!!

Great selection there and I own most of them.

I always loved live albums for some reason. Growing up in Belfast, few, if any groups came over to play so we missed a lot of great bands in the 70's. But here is my top 10

    1. Deep Purple - Made in Japan
    2. Rory Gallagher - Irish Tour '74
    3. The Who - Live at Leeds.
    4. Led Zeppelin 2
    5. Deep Purple - In Rock
    6. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
    7. Albert King - Blues at sunrise
    8. Fleetwod Mac - Live in Boston
    9. Iron Maiden - Rock in Rio
    10. Status Quo - Live

I just moved it to the random list, I think it fits better here... (Cheque is on the way )

For me thinking of a top ten album list is more difficult than when I made a list of my favourite songs.. Anyway.. Here goes! My criteria is not what sits in my memory today as a favourite album but what impacted me most at the time..

    10. Michael Jackson - Bad

    9. The Rolling Stones - 40 Licks

    8. Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I/II (I consider this a double album)

    The Corrs................................:erm: :frust:

Please tell me that you picked them because they are Irish and not because of their cacophony...

I picked the Corrs because it was their first album that made me appreciate Irish music, my roots...

And at the time I thought Andrea Corr was well fit;)
