That's disappointing! It would have been fun seeing what happened when he came to London after the crap he said about the mayor.

    Probably fake news.
When he goes to the UK,I have no doubt he would fill a stadium like Wembley in a heart beat.
I guess his biggest fear of the visit would be security, given the recent attacks in Manchester and London.

I think he might fill Wembley but with the wrong people. I do not find him entertaining, not like Farage. The stuff he comes out with can be gobsmacking but he is no entertainer.

Trump hasn't "dumped on May": he has snubbed Her Majesty the Queen and blamed people like you. I trust you were similarly outraged by State Visits made by Nicolae Ceaușescu, Robert Mugabe, Vladimir Putin, the war monger George Bush, Hu Jintao, Xi Jinping, various Saudi kings and other autocrats; but I doubt it.

Knew it was another B.S story!!!

Donald Trump: UK and US governments deny state visit delay

Mr Trump was invited for the state visit by the Queen.
Downing Street says there has been "no change" to his planned trip.

A Downing Street spokesman said: "We aren't going to comment on speculation about the contents of private phone conversations.

"The Queen extended an invitation to President Trump to visit the UK and there is no change to those plans."

The Guardian reported that, according to a Downing Street adviser who was in the room, Mr Trump made a call in recent weeks in which he stated his reservations about the visit.

Mrs May is reported to have been surprised by Mr Trump's position.

A senior official in the White House told the BBC that "the president has tremendous respect for Prime Minister May" and that the subject of the state visit "never came up on the call".

THE DONALD HAS REASONS FOR CANCELLING
    1) He knows that conducting small talk with a British Prime Minister who has big long knives sticking out of her back is going to be totally difficult.
    2) He realises that enjoying a banquet while Sadiq Khan flicks mashed potato at him from a spoon is going to present the press with an unmissable photo opportunity.
    3) He knows that he will suffer ***** envy because The Shard is better-looking and more totally awesome than anything he has built, like for ever.
    4) Boris Johnson might want a chat and he doesn't have the intellect to understand a word the Limey fellow says.
    5) And Boris' hair! How can anyone appear in public with such ridiculous hai.....oh, wait.....awkward.

That is so funny - the Guardian's fake news story outed by its broadcast arm!

And...he will be wanting to avoid the Glaswegian kisses from those in the north east of Scotland that he peed off with his indulgent developments.

And there will be a number of tree huggers that will want to throttle the living sherbet out of him, once they are done up on the Blackpool Road in Lancashire.

Just how much money does Trump put into the Scottish economy?

    Not much it would appear.

And given his losses, I suspect he's maybe not paying much UK tax either, who knows?

Reading that link it appears that he is behaving true to his reported form elsewhere in the world.

And here is another reporting example from NYTimes

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/25/world/europe/donald-trump-scotland-wall.html?_r=0

I actually lived within just a few miles of this area for a number of years. And I noticed that many of the locals were very disappointed at what Trump was doing. The topic was continually in the local news and for the wrong reasons. Normally you would expect an investment like this in a region, to be popular but in this case it was carried through regardless of the local people, the local people's property and quality of life and regardless of there being a need or not.

The north east of Scotland is not the best location for a golf course. Those that have been there will know why. It was built just on the whim of Mr Trump who simply loves Scotland, wether the Scots wanted one or not.

As OSS and the NY Times points out, the amount pumped into the venture was not as much as promised.
