It isn't a matter of taste a joke like that is just not funny and should never have been uttered.

It`s for the BEEB to explain why the content was considered appropriate for broadcast and why it was so much less terrible then the Danny baker tweet that he was fired for!
Can`t fire her? OK..Ban her from the BBC.

When the milkshake attacks first started I wondered how long it would take before the throwing progressed to something far worse, especially as a not-insignificant section of our society seem to find such violent acts amusing.

The issue is not whether the BBC broadcast was amusing to some, but whether it encourages radicalised idiots.

In 2017 there were apparently 465 acid attacks in London according to CNN

Hmmm. Again I must have missed those threads where our resident Right Wingers got outraged by the UKIP guy joking about raping a Labour politician and Farage picking up a rifle if Brexit didn't go his way.

If you can't see the difference between a comedian saying something like this compared to someone running for public office, I don't know what to suggest.

I must have missed those threads ... or maybe they didn't appear here at all. Except, possibly, in your imagination :)

Inciting acts of violence, regardless of who is the suggested target, is never excusable. That the BBC is refusing to take any action at all simply demonstrates that it believes it always holds the moral high ground and that it is above the law. This and the manner it is acting against the elderly make it unfit for purpose and it should be wound-up and sold-off.

So it's okay for a Labour-supporting self-styled comedian to incite violence but not if they're from the Right?

Allow me to add, Mr Adobo, that I have personally spoken out against acts of violence aimed at those on the political left - as have others here. They include the murder of Jo Cox - whose husband, Brendan, has apparently called upon Jo Brand to apologise for her ill-advised quip - and the vicious trolling and stalking of a number of Labour MPs including Stella Creasy, Luciana Berger, Margaret Hodge and Ruth Smeeth.

Your attempt at political point-scoring has not been the success you hoped for. And I doubt you'll be told-off for politicising a public thread.

    Hmmm indeed.

Nigel and several other very polite, civilised, law-abiding people have been physically assaulted by having unknown liquids thrown over them. Fortunately, these turned out to be milkshakes.

That is nasty, hate-filled extremism that should have no place in this country. It is no laughing matter. It should not be condoned by anybody whatever their idealogical persuasion.

Now this unhinged nutcase with seemingly the full support of her BBC editorial team has suggested that battery acid should be used instead.

How can anybody think that is a joke!
