First reason of refusal, the unjustified transfer of credit, I have reapplied and justified the amount. The second refusal, the reason was based on the documents that I have submitted, it does not show the credit card bank statement, I have reapplied and told them that I have submitted the said document at the VAC. Now the third refusal, no strong ties to Qatar or Philippines... They could have just stated everything on the first refusal, I shouldn’t have wasted a serious amount of money to reapply. Just wanted to share, it’s heartbreaking. I will try again next year.

I feel bad but then i have also highlighted some points to you earlier.

You will need to show that you have ‘savings’ in your bank account before you apply. The entry officer are aware of cases of a lot of filipinos escaping their credit card debts and loans in middle east. Im not saying you will but how will you convince them that you will not? There is a lot prejudice against pinoys and travel, so you need to make sure your document states a strong case proving otherwise.

Second, can you travel to other countries beside the uk? Why dont you do that for the next few months? If you have good immigration history, then you will have stronger case to show.

The travel was only planned on September so I didn’t have time to prepare and I was sending some money to my mother to send it to my grandmother as well to pay a land (installment in Philippines) I didn’t include that in my application form since I’m not able to justify yet because I don’t have the land title yet. My boyfriend is British and asked me if his mother can send me an invitation but I’ve chosen to apply on my own. Anyway, now I think I’ve gathered a lot of information, I’ll stay here (Qatar) and save some money from my salary then try again maybe after 6 months or 1 year, hope it goes well

Lesson learned for me, I’m gonna pay the loan now and everything then I will save money and maybe on May 2018 I’ll have the land title as I’ll pay it full on 2018. Will travel to Maldives, Georgia etc. first which doesn’t require a visa or visa on arrival, I hope that will strengthen my UK visa application next time! Cheers!

    I feel your pain Mavi...

It is only my opinion - and I'm sure many here will disagree - that the UK Visa system is forcing many people in 'fledgling' relationships to rush into marriage, rather than allowing couples to spend time together in each other's home countries, getting to know each other on a 24/7 basis...

    Hi Mavi,
I have been coming to the UK on tourist visa and short term/long term family visit visa since 2010. I know that the rules may have changed but for me it was quite easy when I got my first tourist visa. Then after the first one, I applied for a short term family visit visa and followed by a 5 year family visit visa. I was granted with all the visas before I got married.
I lived in Baku, Azerbaijan for 6 years. I was working as primary teacher in a British school when I first applied for UK tourist visa. With all the applications, I included a letter from my school allowing me to have a leave of absence and the date I’m due to go back to work, bank statement, temporary residence card, and a letter from my boyfriend (British citizen)- on his letter, he included his home address, telephone number and details of my planned trip to the UK. Since he owns and lives alone in his house, he made it clear that I will not be staying in a hotel but will be staying at his place, and that he is going to be my sponsor (pays all expenses when I arrive) My boyfriend (who is now my husband)included his bank statement and passport copy.
Maybe next time you apply, you can include a letter from your company/work and this could be enough reason for the UKVI to believe that you will go back.
Your partner can include a letter of invitation and if possible, he can also be your sponsor.
FIY- For Georgia, you will not need a visa to enter if you have a UK visa. Good luck with your next application.

My boyfriend and I are in a relationship now for 2 years, I have met his mum, his only son and his ex (the mother of his son), they have visited last year. Both of us are working in Qatar, it was actually an unplanned and rushed vacation so I wasn’t prepared, since he’s working here, he cannot invite me t
Thank you... It's just sad because I am a genuine visitor, I don't wish to stay or work there, my boyfriend is working here, it was a rush plan so I wasn't prepared, good thing is, I've booked a flight to Philippines! :)

    Hi Lizzylou,

I also included a letter from my company stating the exact dates of my travel, also my residency permit and approved leave application, 6 months bank statement, credit card statement, travel insurance, hotel and flight voucher, travel itinerary and the breakdown of the cost of my stay. I've been living/working here (Qatar) for 3 years now.

They haven't mentioned anything about the strong ties on the first and second refusal, if they did, I shouldn't have reapplied.

My boyfriend (British) is working here so he cannot invite me, I think he should be living in the UK to be able to invite me.

We are planning to travel to Brazil on EID Holiday next year and somewhere else where I don't have to obtain a visa or visa on arrival to strengthen the next application, I'll also include a land title and ofcourse save a lot of money;)

Hi Mavi, sorry to read about your difficulties in obtaining a UK visit visa. There has been many useful comments on here to help you so I cannot add to that. However, you seem to believe that your British boyfriend cannot invite you as he is not living in UK. My wife and live in Dubai and her application was successful earlier this year. I did provide her a letter inviting her to visit UK even though I do not live there. Not sure if this had any influence in the decision to grant her a visa, but it's worth including a letter from your boyfriend.

Yes, your boyfriend can still write a letter for you. My husband was working in baku at that time too. Probably best if you let him be your sponsor and travel with you when you visit the UK. It is a shame that UKVI refused your 3 applications. That’s just taking a piss sorry. I was denied the second time I applied (short term family visit visa) as I forgot to submit a letter from my school (I did not know it was necessary as I was planning my trip on summer holiday which means no school) but they refused my application with that reason. We decided to make an appeal and luckily we got the visa in the end.
Why don’t you try to make an appeal (I am not sure if you still would like a visa or just to make a point if I were you) for the 3rd time, it’s utterly ridiculous! they should have at least given you all 3 reasons for the refusal from the first application.

it just strikes me as grossly unfair that a ukvi case worker can refuse a visit visa application because theres a vowel in the month--and theres nothing the poor applicant can do about it.

Hello, on my next application, is it okay to change the answers? As I have stated before that I don't have friends or relatives living in the UK. I applied on my own not mentioning my boyfriend.

As per the refusal, there is no right of appeal or administrative review. The VAC said that they will contact you if there are clarifications but they never do that, they'll just refuse straight away.

That's exactly what I want to ask them, why didn't they state everything on my first refusal, the second one they said that my credit card statement was not with the documents that I have submitted, thinking that it was the only problem, I have reapplied. But based on the third refusal, they acknowledge that the credit card statement was actually attached. I was able to justify everything, they just don't want to approve the visa and kept on eating all the money.

Absolutely nothing as the applicant cannot complain :(

I'm sorry, what does 'vowel in the month' means?

Poor sarcasm from me. Every month has a vowel. Just meant they can refuse for any reason they dream up. Probably have targets to meet..for refusal.
