Just wanted to do a quick sanity check. Having completed the online application for my mother-in-law, paid the fee and booked an appointment. The website says one last step... "Register with our visa application centre partner This will allow you to track your application, get directions to the centre and access other services" When I click the link I just get directed to the VFS-global website and cannot see an option to register? What am I missing?
If you have booked an appointment then maybe that's it... I mean when I applied for my visit visa I don't remember this "Register with our visa application centre partner This will allow you to track your application, get directions to the centre and access other services". Maybe others who recently applied can enlighten us like @joi1991 who got the visa for her mother.
Maybe it's just to get you to view the pay services? Any advice from very recent applicants would be appreciated.
Yeah that's what I thought but if you have submitted the application already then you should be fine. But let's wait for some confirmation.
Here is a link I think it's new! Save time https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/Overseas/pages/Registration.aspx
Not sure where and how you do it on the site, I'm on my phone not a pc. Just Google registar with vfs global that came up.
Hi Matte, I did find that link also, but I couldn't select visit visa it actually says "First time users will need to register prior to logging in with us. – Currently available for overseas citizenship applications only.". I think it should be fine we know the address have booked the appointment and have pre-paid for the application. Maybe the online application just needs to catch-up with the changes. I'll post our findings
Thanks.... I think what they are trying to do is get applicants to fill in their details so when they arrive at appointments it save asking the applicant questions and will reduce waiting times etc.
Right! all done my mother-in-law has made it to Manila and through her visit VISA appointment - she even got the documents I sent to a friend in Manila. So we just have to wait and see I'm guessing it's going to take about a month to get her documents delivered back to Mindanao
Next job find some cheap flights, why is it that direct flights (Philippine Airways) LHR to MNL is ~£800 but MNL to LHR is ~£1200!! Anyone have any tips / recommendations for flights from Manila - Obviously I can use sky scanner but wanted to know if there was a better option.Buying locally?

True story this.. I had the MIL over in the UK for six months... Ended up saving me money on lekky bill big time as she did all the laundry in the bath. I showed her how to use the washing machine down there in the kitchen to save time so she could learn English watching Jeremy Kyle on the wide screen... but she was just not having it. So in the bath it all went.
