NHS surcharge alone is £1000 - £500 for first FLR and £500 for the second. I believe it is due to increase too.

I haven't worked out exactly the whole thing cost us, but definitely over £10,000 (including one unsuccessful fiance visa application first time round).

£170 application fee for two Permanent Bio metric Residence Cards

So £1060 over 6.5 years

You clearly chose the wrong country, Keith! Our three Schengen Visas were free of charge as were all our Residence cards. You omitted to include the mandatory health insurance costs for your stay in Portugal whereas ours are paid by the DWP and we had no document translation charges either. We'll also escape the UK Residence Card fees since we have no desire to relocate from our really rather pleasant Mediterranean island.

No health charges in Portugal for us came with a free year of Social Security

The translation fees was the HO for our documents from Portugal

The 60 Euros shengan for two really really hurt

Does that include ILR and British citizenship?

Just ILR.

Citizenship is another £1330.

Other costs 1000 (English tests,TB etc) looks about right
