Paul is your wife and daughter in the UK.
When we applied for my wife and her daughters FLR we did not nor where asked for a letter to support the application.
Yes use a letter at fiancee says he or even spouse visa stage but once there over here it's not required.
Our application consisted of Birth certificates
    Passport biometrics pages
    House info
    Wage slips
    P 60
    Employment letter
    House deeds
Letters addressed to them or us
    English language test certificate

    Hi Mattecube,
Yes we are all in the UK

You are right its not a requirement, I used supporting letters in my successful application for my daughter when she was in the Philippines, and my wife and I were here in the UK.

I paid for the do it yourself kit from Migrate, they supply templates and recommend an application support letter as it summarizes your application and makes it easier for the case worker to see where you are coming from, meaning it gives an easy way for them to get to know you.

Actually if you have been through a successful application before you don't really need to buy the do it your self kit, as most of it you already know and how to do it.
    I have submitted
    Mandatory
Passports All pages, wife(booth maiden name passport, as she entered UK on it, and New name passport) and daughter passport
Maiden name BRP, and New Name BRP Wife; BRP daughter
Family Statement (you have to download it fill it in and sign)
My passport biometrics page (proof of citizenship)

    Other documents
    Supporting letters as described above
My divorce decree absolute, with translation from Spanish
    Birth certificate daughter
Proof of sole custody and sole responsibility of my daughter, Letters from school, (there is quite a few documents and affidavits)
Picture document (10 pictures of family covering years together) Picture file (10 pictures with daughter prominent, covering first meeting and last birthday)
Bank statements 12 months (12 not required but recommended)
Wage slips 12 months, with letter (12 not required but recommended)
    P 60
Employment letter, including how long employed, salary, etc.
    Contract of employment
House rental agreement and letter from the Letting agency
Letters addressed to us, and to me and wife separately
English language test certificate, and confirmation code

Thanks for that one question I have seems you changed your wifes passport from maiden name to married which I could do as we are married but her passport/settlement,visa is in her maiden name, we have a passport application renewal at phils embassy next Month, how did you change the brp from maiden name to married and how long did it take and cost?, as her FLR is due in March next Year and with covid around was going to leave it in maiden name in case things are shut before visa is due, but obviously would like things in her married name to sort a few things out as well but not if its risky with time restraints.

Hi Paul yes it's ILR application for them this October!
The rules on pay slip and bank statements is 6 months wage slips and 6 months bank statements to show your wages going in unless you have changed employer within 6 months then the 12 month rule applies.
    Only biometrics pages is required
    No photos your married
No decree absolute they've seen it before! Lol
No sole responsibility letter they have seen that before
Letters from daughter's school I think although not required is a good idea as it shows integration.

    Good luck with the applications.

Passport and BRP must always be in the same name don't even think about making an application and submitting copies of passport and BRP in different names you will FAIL.
If in doubt do not change either.
My wife's docs are in her maiden name and we are at ILR stage.
It does not present any issues whatsoever.

That's exactly what they asked for as you can see they asked for the divorce decree absolute again, in fact they asked for everything again

Wow. That is some repetitive list they have asked for, how's the scanning arm?

Haha I've been at it for over a month getting everything ready and scanning, actually it's all uploaded now I've just got to hit the done key. But I feel like making them wait,
They gave my daughter a visa 8 months short because of the original refusal, that's why I left it till 3 days before the visa ended to submit the application, and I have made the biometrics appointment end of October then hopefully they will take a couple of months to make a decision so I'm clawing back some of the 8 month's as you have to have 5 years minimum for the ILR and I don't want to have to pay for another FLR for my daughter because I'm just months short.

Is your daughter's in line with her mother's?
It should Be, my wife came here October 2015 her daughter in May 2017 they can apply October 2020 which is 5 years from mum landing and daughter as dependent joins her.
I assume you mean mum has spouse visa then FLR then IL R
And daughter dependant visa then catch up with mum at ILR

Yes wife came January 2018 daughter came 28 September 2018 but both visas ended 15th September 2020, so next will be for 30 months which will be 5 years for my wife but short by 8 months short of 5 years for my daughter so they may make her do another FLR for the 8 months as its not a full 5 years which is the requirement.
You know what immigration are like anything to make more money out of us.

    Hello everyone,

I've just recently uploaded all my documents last 05 September 2020 for my spouse visa application using the UKVCAS app ( I received an email that I am eligible to use the app). Fingers crossed for the result if I'm not mistaken it's my 3rd week waiting for the result fingers crossed.

Best of luck for all of us! Stay safe.

Good luck for you and like you say all of us, it is amazing that there is an element of luck because it's all down to the case worker you get

It must be because of my daughter that we cannot use the app because my wife did the complete application with biometrics when she changed her name last year 2019, which should still be valid, but my daughter did her biometrics in the Philippines in 2018.

My wife's daughter will only of done 3.5 years and their brps expire Feb 2021 but mum completes 5 years landed October 2020 so can apply then up to 02.2021 when brps expire

Got to do biometrics shortly. Wife got email that could not use old ones. No appointment available after application then after got email logged on again and could see appointment including free ones.

We found a few appointments in Cardiff that were free (EU settlement scheme application). Other ones earlier were pay about 110 each.

Has to be core centre to be free and then if outside free hours have to pay. Was happy enough with our free middle of day time.

You got lucky well done, Cardiff too far to travel for a free appointment, there was nothing free at any time in England that I could find £110 for all but some in Luton
