Is this still the case now? I have read Appendix FM Section 1.7 and that says -
"Bank statements must be on official bank stationery. Alternatively, electronic bank statements can also be accepted for all bank accounts (the account itself does not have to be exclusively online) as long as they are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page."
Does this not mean that you still need to get them stamped as genuine or a letter to say they are all genuine statements?
    Thanks

no need to get them stamped as long as they are on headed paper and show your name or your sponsors name or both!

That's good news. Even allowing for the fact that you could supply financial evidence ending within 28 days of the application it was always a rush to get statements.

    Hi guys,

Does anyone of you just recently apply for the first FLRM type of visa? How many weeks/months do you need to wait for the processing period? I have been waiting for their decision quite sometime after I've done my biometric. I understand it will take time for the visa officer to make a decision due to pandemic and the current lockdown. I am just a bit worried since you cannot ring the UKVI asking about the visa update Thank you.

    Stay safe!

    No news is good news!

No doubt covid is the excuse for all manner of lengthy delays.

How long ago did you apply?
standard applications take about 12 weeks but can take longer, especially at the moment with the current backlog.
    Good luck on your application.

    Oh, I see.
Thank you. I did my biometric last 30/09/2020 but the application was submitted 15/08/2020.
    I am just worried.

    Stay safe.

Hi, in my recent FLR M application I am asked to bring all original documents when attending my appointment in the Sopra Steria office. A lot of my documents are in PDF like the bank statements and payslips and I have directly uploaded them as is. If I can avoid it, I’d rather not print them to bring with me to my appointment. Is it really required to bring original print outs of all the supporting documents? Thanks.

We have just submitted ILR application there is no need to reprint anything.
Take the documents that you have with you ie birth certificates, marriage certificate etc, if you have already uploaded documents then no need to take them with you, what they will do is a check for you that all the required documents are there and uploaded correctly.

does the ILR application have to mean a visit to a sopra office ?

It can go either way, after the application was submitted we got an e mail saying previous biometrics were being used so no visit for us! But they could ask you to attend and submit your bios again.
I think even if you didn't have to go to the centre for bios you could make an appointment for a document scanning or checking.
You might get lucky and get an e mail

Hi @emz happy new year! Did you get an email an email from ukvcas? I have not received an email yet and no notification about Tier 4 restrictions either. So I am assuming that my appointment will push through as I have already paid for it as well. Still hoping I receive an email though ;)

We submitted a FLR for my wife in December 2020 and my wife has to attend appointment for biometrics. Appointment is next Tuesday and so far she has not been told it is cancelled. The latest guidance for TIER 5 seems to say you can still travel for passport and visa purposes, so she should be ok. Good luck to everyone applying

Hi @Roseanne J , sorry for the late reply. Yes I had an email from them this evening about the documents that I uploaded in their website and I also had a text message reminding me of my appointment and I also checked in their website if the service centre is not in their temporary closed list. I read there that the centre has an essential status so they’re open during this pandemic. I will have my appointment tomorrow btw . I hope this helps. Goodluck and stay safe x
