Hi, I'm so forgetful and I lost some info somewhere in my brain. I submitted my documents in Sunderland mid October last year (10hours drive back n forth it was) but I still don't hear anything from HO til now. Also I still have my old biometric residence card, should I have it returned then? I'm worried I was doing things wrong...

Keeping your old biometrics card is correct you should of put a copy in with your application.
Your card even though out of date is the only thing you have to show you are legally entitled to be in the UK

Hi @Roseanne J , I had my appointment in the Sopra Steria office today for my biometrics. They only asked for the QR code and my passport , they didn’t asked me of my original documents although I have them with me just incase they will asked for it . They checked all the documents that I uploaded in their website and submitted them to UKVI including my fingerprints , signatures and photo that was done in the service point today. Stay safe x

I did call them but they sent an email saying everything was being processed.
I think beacuse we went down the human rights route for a spouse visa they did not give us a deadline for the biometrics. After three months they asked us to submit documents but no biometrics. They did ask for a current passport photo. So for anyone on human rights route maybe they just leave you hanging for three months then judge what you need.

It has nearly been six months since we applied, bit fed up now waiting now.

Hi @wardy33 , it’s not a letter it was a declaration form that the sponsor, spouse or fiancé need to sign. They will send it to you after you submitted your online application. Mine looks like this .

If your settlement visa runs out on the 16th April this year and you need to apply for FLR when would you submit your application online, one Month before or a bit later?

Just to add some further information about sopra steria. My family went to sopra steria for biometrics for their ILR application. They needed to produce their passports and brp and that was it. None of the other originals we took were looked at because they had been uploaded by us in advance.

    Hi,

I hope everyone is staying safe and well! :)

We are currently sorting my 2nd FLR. Can someone please help with the question we have? My wife and I live with my mother-in-law, who is the sole renter in a housing association. We requested for tenancy agreement but the housing association said they no longer provide this. And therefore they have just sent us a letter about me being added as a Guest Member of the council house (The letter is addressed to my mum-in-law). Would that be enough as a letter of proof of residence and that I have a permission to live here?

We would very much appreciate your answer, if anyone would know! Many thanks in advance! :)
