After submitting my wife's second FLR(M) application this week we intend to upload all the evidence ourselves (I believe this is an option?).

Would it still be advisable for my wife to take all the uploaded paper documents with her to her subsequent Sopra Steria appointment (for biometrics) or will we have the option to re-upload any failed (or missing!!!) documents again from home afterwards?

for our ILR i uploaded all the documents..2 were rejected by SS so i re-did them. My wife took all docs with her to the SS appointment just in case--not needed, in and out in a few minutes.

From memory, I think when we were either 48 or 72 hours before the biometric appointment the option to upload any further documentation was gone. If you needed to upload anything else, I suspect you would have to pay SS for the privilege of doing so.

SS did ask my wife during her appointment if she had about documents to upload. She said no, they took a brief look at their records and sent her on her way. No harm in taking the docs for your own peace of mind, but unlikely they'll actually be needed.

When you say they "... were rejected by SS" was that a message you received at the time of uploading, or were they rejected at the biometric appointment?

    - For peace of mind I think we will take all uploaded document 'hard copies' to the SS appointment...

we got an email saying they had missing info--my fault. So it least it proved SS had reviewed them prior to the appointment--and before they were forwarded to UKVI.

As we had paid the extra for priority service--i think the BRP card had already been printed after we paid the fee--how else could it be issued so quick?

    Hi all

We are at the 'uploading documents' stage of my wife's 2nd FLR(M) application - and completely confused!!!

The page gives a list of 'Categories' of documents to be uploaded, but no explanation whatsoever of which documents 'fit' into which Category!

The list of Categories are -

Mandatory - the ONLY Category that does say exactly WHAT to upload... Applicant's BRP & Spouse's Passport

    Other?????
Residence in the UK????? - Is this the 6+ pieces of evidence of address/living together?
Finances??? - My best guess here is, all payslips, bank statements, proof of benefits received... Anything else?
Proof of Business????? - Is this the Letter from Employer?
    Life Events???
    Medical Information???
Sponsors/Employment????? - Is THIS the Letter from Employer?
Educational??? - Is this the English Test (IELTS) certificate?

I guess some of these may be dependent upon what has been said in the Visa application - Benefits received, medical history, etc but all I can say is these Categories are badly worded & lack explanation!

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but what is a Sopra Steria office do? I've never heard of this office before. I assume it's a place to go that for a fee they will check and scan your documents before they are sent to the Phillipines Embassy. If so are these centres across the country? Thanks.

They are people who do visa processing work in UK for applications to stay in UK. Mostly scanning of documents for submission, recording of fingerprints and taking of photos used for BRP. Nothing to do with Philippines Embassy.

They also do biometrics now - fingerprints and photo for Visa applications. You can Google them, otherwise you will be directed to their website after submitting the online Visa application.

yes--offices all over the country. You will see a list of locations as you finalise your visa application--you get transferred to sopra steria.

We uploaded all our documents for FLR ( about 60 ) and paid for the document check, about £50 something. They came back with advice to add the back of the BPR and also upload the passport to another section as well. Biometriocs in Manchester took about ten minutes.

I lost my job the month before Covid as my role was relocated to the Netherlands and I didnt work again until just 5 months ago. Luckily Mica's job was enough for the financial qualification on its own.

We received notification of the FLR being agreed today followed by an email saying that the BRP card will be delayed due to a backlog
