Hello, everyone! we're in the process of completing our documents for our FLRM extension, just need to confirm a few things:
    1. UK Immigration Status (How you entered UK): I had to type in the comment box I was granted fiancee visa coz neither of the choices applies to me (granted temporary admission or entered UK illegally. Is this correct?
    2. Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your current partner (including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)? -- I've answered NO as we are applying for extension, is this correct?
    3. Please choose the reason you are applying for an extension, this includes if you are switching to a partner visa from another type. -- I've answered Additional extension as a partner, just thought the "additional" is a bit misleading for me coz technically this is the only extension then ILR. Is my answer correct?
    4. Items of correspondence: are downloaded pdfs okay for this? we do have correspondences through the mail, just want to make sure we're providing enough.
    5. Signed Contract:
    • my current work doesn't issue "physically signed" contract by employee/HR due to online onboarding and remote working, though I do have an HR signed certificate of employment. Would this be enough?
    • my last company went into liquidation last Dec 2022 and cannot issue certification of employment but I do have letters from them and insolvency companies regarding their closure, payslips, P60 & P45, and my old signed contract with them, are those documents enough?
    6. Bank Statements: when we applied in 2020 we had to go to the bank for stamped bank statements, do we still need stamped copies or are PDF statements good enough?

I do apologise if the answers to my question are quite obvious but I really need to double check and have the confirmation to relieve my anxiety and we don't want to waste any time/money due to rejection. We are going to pay the for next day decision coz my contract is dependent on my visa renewal.
I appreciate all the help !!

    1. granted temporary admission (your stay is not confirmed or permanent it is based on visas which are for a period of time)
    2. the answer is yes it is the first time (the question is about other partners should you of had them)
    3.Additional
    4 yes
5yes as long as it is on letter headed paper and the company address and ideally company registration (normally at bottom of page)
    6. no need to stamp but as above bank name etc etc

    1. YES, You need to fill in the box stating when did you received your Fiance visa, when did you get married. Lastly, when did you received your first spouse visa and the expiry date. (basically you are telling them your story of visa status).
    2. NO (is the answer)
    3. ADDITIONAL EXTENSION AS PARTNER
    4. PDF IS FINE
    5. COE IS FINE, as long your job role is written and for how long you've been with the company. You better attached as well your previous work employment including P60 ( THE IMMIGRATION ARE PARTICULAR MEETING THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS)
    6. PDF 6 MONTHS BANK STATEMENTS ARE FINE

I just did mine (FLRM extension) 4 weeks after biometric the visa approval issued.
    Good luck!

Sorry but I disagree on point 2 and 3 when I took my wife all the way through from spouse visa to British citizenship 2015 to 2021
Question 2we the answer is yes it’s the first time applying for additional leave, what they are looking for here is if the applicant has applied previously with a different partner look at the breakdown of the bold wording..
While answer 3 is not wrong the UKBA are aware of the current visa status therefore additional leave is fine. What they are looking for here is if say the applicant was for example moving from a work visa to spouse visa.

Thank you for the responses! really appreciate it. I've updated my form.
    I got another question:
    • Do you have any Home Office reference numbers? I have answered NO, is this only for current applications?

If you have your previous successful visa letter there will be a reference number on that, use that one, if you don’t have it say no as they are aware of GW number of this application and also aware of your BRP number.
It’s no worries if the answer is no!

We've got a bit of a problem, requirements say that we need to provide 6mos pay slips, certificate of employment, P60, and a signed contract of employment.
I got all of those, but my husband's work doesn't issue signed contract of employment and doesn't send out P60. He was able to download his P60 from their work site but in a different format. His work HR rep told us that his certificate of employment is more than enough coz it states everything there is to know about his employment (salary per annum, contract type, etc.). We're thinking of typing up a letter to explain why we cannot submit this particular document instead. Will this be a deal breaker for our application? I remember only submitting pay slips and certificate of employment on our previous applications. Also, he is working for HMRC we thought it might be easier to confirm his employment due to the fact that he works for the government too.

    Thanks for all the help!
We're now uploading our documents, do I have to provide travel documents for when I visited PH last year?
Also, they do not offer express processing anymore? I only had the 8week option when I paid. :(

We applied online on 1st June for ILR. Submitted biometrics 7th July. We got an email saying they wanted an original bank statement as online statement not acceptable on 19th Jul. Sent the statement back and got an email saying ILR approved on 4th August. Its not easy to say how long an ILR takes as each case can be so different, but hope this may be of help to you. Good luck with the application.

Hi, my wife and daughter just completed their application for ILR, they said 6 months but the visas came by post after only 2 weeks.
They are only valid for 12 months, not sure what that is about, unless it's a way of getting people to keep paying for a renewal.

Good luck to everyone applying, it's a long road just keep going.

Visas for 12 months what us that all about, never heard of that? is it some sort of temporary visa until they do the real thing?
keeping you in limbo until the prices go up? what does mattecube say he knows a lot about these visas.

ILR is indefinite leave to remain which means so long as dont breech the conditions associated with ILR that are no more visa fees or applications required unless want citizenship.

BRP cards being issued in at least the last year or two have expiry dates of end of 2024 if I remember correctly as they have an aspiration to move to an all electronic format and do away with cards. ILR doesnt expire even if the cards do.

yes, I believe they are trying to get rid of actual cards and go to an online alternative. My wife's BRP for her ILR shows a valid date up to Dec 2024. The letter that was sent with the BRP for ILR said they will be in contact with everyone once they know what the alternative will be. So there is no need to worry, and just wait to hear from them.

Hi everyone, got my HO email yesterday confirming a successful application. The decision came earlier than we expected. Thank you all so much for your help! I'll probably be back on this forum for more questions in 2.5 years' time when we're applying for ILR :) Again, big thanks!
