now--i know UKVI are making it as difficult as possible for us all---but i cant even log in to my wifes visa4uk online account! i have it saved on my laptop--and am in the process of filling out an app form for her son. i need to send the log in details over to him----but wife cant remember the password. when i try to log in on my tablet--as soon as i start to enter her email--first letter n--it says email address invalid ! her a/c was created back in 2015..does it have a shelf life ? can you tech types help me out here ?
Sounds like the tablet is playing silly, could restart it. You can request a password reset if she can't remember it.
no--as soon as i start to enter her email address--the very first letter---n--or N---it says email address invalid---does this on both my laptop and tablet. so i cant get near to requesting a new password--which in anycase requires me to enter the old password---just how stupid can this get ! ive created a new a/c--in my name now---but i will have to delete her details first. back to square one.
Before you even login you should see a link which will allow you reset the password. Click the Forgotten your password. I just typed an N or n in the user name and its fine. Clear your browser history
yep--seen that. it will not recognise her email address----the one i am currently logged in and using on my laptop. but then--it is saved on my laptop. but ive now created an entirely new a.c in my name--and will apply for his app on that. just wish i could leave the travel date blank--i dont think for a moment ukvi will grant the visa in the 3 month time limit anyway.
I see what youve done now. Just type the full email address then click the password, it is waiting for the full email address before it can validate the email format.
ive cleared history on the tablet--and can enter her full email address. tried a few password combinations--no good. will have to try clearing history on the laptop andtry from there.

Just try typing the full email address. It wants to confirm the email address format is correct (i.e. Has a decimal place and ampersand contained within it).
