    Hi everyone.
I'm new here and I've read all the thread about visitor visa.
Just realised I have to make one.

    I am in a relationship with an Englishman. He's 31 I'm 28.
We've met online last May and ever since we've been talking everyday in whatsapp and Skype.

We are now on a genuine relationship.

We've decided to meet this December, he invited me in UK for a vacation.
I'm currently working in a BPO company for 7 months. Full-time. I've been working full-time in various companies since 2014.
I was able to secure a COE for travel purpose with my 12 vacation leaves approved by my manager. We get 15 paid vacation leaves every fiscal year.
    I have payslips.
2 Bank accounts. My savings right now is only 50k.
My bf will sponsor my trip. He'll pay for my plane ticket (£600), food and accomodation.
He will send me his passport copy, payslips, bank statement and letter of accomodation from his mom as well . He lives with his parents. He does have a full-time job too.

This is the first time I'm applying for a visa. I've been outside the Philippines... Lol Singapore and Myanmar. Purpose: own-paid trip or visiting family.

Me and my bf never met yet. I wonder if the officer will question that. And will they question my bank savings too? I had my bank account for 4 years and the biggest money I put in there is 200k but now it's down to 50k. i also don't own a property under my name. No kids. No car. No mortgage. Just my younger brother who's a chemical engineer.

Bf can't visit me in PH because of his health condition. He needs to travel into a business class. But if I travel there we'll be able to save a lot.
Proposal date of travel is December 19 to January 5 only.

Any tips on how we should write his invitation letter?
Documents we can submit to strengthen my application?

    Thanks a lot.

Wow.... where to begin.... Technically you would seem to satisfy most of the UKVI requirements, you have a job, regular salary, bank acc with funds so in theory you could apply in your own right with no need for sponsorship from your BF other than you will be staying at his address. If I were you BF I would deposit some funds in your acc because you have to prove that while in the UK you will have no recourse to public funds.

The only hurdle I can see and others may correct me here is that you have no real ties to the Phils, landowner/house owner etc etc.

You have to think off everything you can to convince the UKVI that you will return to Phils after your visit.

Maybe your employer could help here, some kind of letter on headed paper to say you are a valuable and trusted worker then outlining your shifts for next months.

Its all a bit off a game really.

Good luck and welcome to the forum

Thats a good supporting documents. As what @DJB mentioned, it is trying to convince them that you will be going back to ph.

I dont want to sound negative but not meeting your bf in person might be tricky in the eyes of the home office. But you never know - you can re-apply if you are declined by addressing the concerns of the refusal letter.

Thank you for the quick response.
My COE have my return date to work.
That would be 8 of January 2018. I'm actually shy to asked my bf a money though I'm sure he'll be willing to do that. I don't think there's need for that since he's willing to sponsor me.
I never owned a house or property coz renting is easier and more practical for me.
I've traveled 3 times to SG and once in Myanmar without any issues.

My company's COE is pretty neat we can request for a personal travel COE.

Also we found a form about Sponsorship (SU07 FORM) that my bf will cover all my expenses and won't be a burden to the government... You think that will help?
Appreciate all your help Sir. Hehe

    Yes that's my concern too.
I think they might find our relationship not that genuine. :-(
Since we never met in person.

just get your b/f to put some money in your a/c to cover your stay--how long for ? you need to state that.

apply soon--costs £89.....but expect to be refused. there is no appeal. consider the fee a tax. your refusal will state a reason. if you can overcome the reason stated--then reapply. more are successful on 2nd application.

    Its only for 19 days.
I can probably get money from family.
You think applying on my own is better than sponsorship?

Found this on the uk immigration site.

Funds, maintenance and accommodation provided by a third party
    1. V 4.3 A visitor’s travel, maintenance and accommodation may be provided by a third party where the decision maker is satisfied that they:
      1. (a) have a genuine professional or personal relationship with the visitor; and
      2. (b) are not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws at the time of decision or the visitor’s entry to the UK; and
      3. (c) can and will provide support to the visitor for the intended duration of their stay.
V 4.4 The third party may be asked to give an undertaking in writing to be responsible for the applicant’s maintenance and accommodation. In this case paragraph 35 of Part 1 of these Rules applies also to Visitors. An applicant will normally be refused where, having been requested to do so, the applicant fails to provide a valid written undertaking from a third party to be responsible for their maintenance and accommodation for the period of any visit.
    ------------
My bf are able to give me all those documents.
It will be very unfair to be declined just because the approver thinks that our relationship is not genuine. I hope they accept the fact that online relationship csn be real as well...by this time.
I'm going there to visit him to prove to everyone that our relationship is genuine. Hahahah i hope the reviewer will sense that. Lol
I can definitely bring like £1000 on my trip. I really don't want to ask my bf any money just to put on my account.
I'm just hoping for the best here.

I'll apply by the end of September.

my--now-wife---was in the uk on a student visa 2008-2012. we met in 2011. her visa expired aug 2012 and she went home before that.

she applied for a visit visa 2013--and was refused because of some bank error.

she reapplied--corrected the error--and was successful. SHE DID NOT MENTION ME IN HER APPLICATION. she would be staying with her sister--settled in the UK--and had money in her bank a/c.

by the way--i also would not fly to the filis.

    Thanks for the info.
I don't know anyone in UK aside from my bf. No family or anyone there to accomodate me.
My bf is the only person I know who will best sponsor me for this trip.

then state you will be staying with him--and he will be responsible for you and covering your costs.

the main thing to emphasise is you will be on leave from your job and you have to be back home by a certain date.
most refusals are because the CO believes the applicant has no good reason to return home and will overstay.

That looks good. Just if you can get your BF to boost your bank acc it might look better.

    bumping this thread.

sushie1989 and shie1989 are both my accounts. =(
I do not remember my password or email on the sushie one.

Anyways, I am going to apply for my visa next week probably.
Since me and boyfie already met in Singapore we do not have any issues anymore on how to prove our relationship.

I think my main concern now is my Certificate of Employment, on our standard COE it only state my salary, role and length of employment, it does not indicate the approved leaves. Does the approved leaves matter? I mean i don't even know how to say it to my boss if I don't have the visa yet or booked ticket, they can always contact our HR to validate it and I have no plans of not going back to work either.

I also don't have a ticket yet coz I don't want my bf to buy one unless I have a visa.

these are the documents I am planning to submit:

    1. Application form
    2. My current Philippine passport
    3. An old Philippine Passport
    4. Certificate of employment
    5. Payslips (6 months)
    6. Income Tax Return for 2016 (Form 2361)
    7. My bank statements and bank certificate
    8. Sponsor’s bank statements and payslips for the previous six (6) months
    9. Sponsor letter from bf, letter of support from his parents and utility bill as proof of accommodation
    10. Sponsor’s passport
    11. Payment receipts of accommodations in Singapore and tourist spots we visited
    12. Screenshots of our social media accounts and chat logs
    13. Airline tickets and boarding passes (Singapore Holiday)
    14. Screenshots of our first few interactions and pictures together
    15. Itinerary for my UK holiday
    16. Sponsorship form (SU07)
    17. My cover letter

any other documents I need to submit that could help? any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much. And I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday. =)

You can put a planned leave days there.

Our HR typed ‘we are aware of her plans to travel between x to y dates which we dont have any objection if her visa is approved’ or something similar.

Just a quick question about the application form,

    Under Income and Expenditure:
How much money are you planning to spend on your visit to the UK?

I am not going to spend anything since my boyfriend will pay for everything, should I put the money I will spend on my own and will match my bank account or can I put the amount that my boyfriend will pay for?
like maybe £1500??? including flights since PAL has sale right now..... And then there is another question at the bottom for the sponsor one...
How much money will they be paying towards your visit? In which I know the answer. The only confusing one is the first question towards me... I don't have enough savings right now because of the holiday and all the SG trip lol I only have around 50k which sucks so I do not want to confused the ECO with my answer and the docu I'll send them.

    Pls help. thanks again
