hi everyone, its me again, been watching and reading most of thread here and giving me some ideas, thank u very much..., my hubby and I just got married last Jan 23, 2017, and the same day afternoon my loving eldest brother died invehicular motor accident at the age of 41 :,( leaving his 4 childrens (4,7,9,13) the happiest and saddest day of my life.... my family still grieving loosing him, the best I ever had :,( .......................................... I am waiting for the release of my NSO marriage contract, then I will renew my passport to married.... I read that there is TB test and Ielts test, where to take this test? can I take this test even I'm still using my single surname? or I just wait my passport to be renew? I have 14 yrsl old son, is it possible that I can tke him wth me in uk when I apply visa? or do I need to apply my visa first, then get him to UK after a year? Were also thinking adopting my own son, so it save us from paying a visa for my son, does this could help? My husband is retired his 61 his not workinh anymore, his a farmer now, he doesn't have much on his bank account, but, he said he will try his best, he own lots of property, does owning many property helps my visa approve coz I know my visa rely on him, I hope u all could help me... thnx in advance
If he doesn't meet the requirement (which goes up if you wish to bring your child) the best thing to do would be to sell one of the properties and keep the money as savings. The savings can be used as financial requirement. It‘s £62,500 in savings for a spouse visa. I'm not sure the amount if you are bringing your son.
Hi Khat, We're in the same situation about changing surname of our passport after we got married. Actually I asked this before if do I need to change my surname into my Husbands surname but they said it's alright not to change as long as you have a marriage certificate . I'm planning to take IELTS next month but I don't have yet exact date because my friends planned about Moutain Climbing (Mt. PULAG) on April . Anyway, from where are you in Ph?

Anyway with regards to your visa concern you have to sort out your husband's financial status first as that is very important on your visa application. Tell your husband to read the Appendix FM 1.7.

The important thing is how much? There is a minimum requirement and you need to be clear if he meets that. If not, then selling off or remortgaging an asset is probably the best way to go.
as your husband is 61--he wont be able to get his state pension for several years yet....but you need to discuss with him what income he has--from rents and maybe a private pension. if he falls short of the income requirement--he can use savings to help meet the targets. or in the meantime----as he is no longer working---why not live with you in the philippines for now?
Doesnt even know how much he has on his bank account, its not much I think, He told to me last night he will try to sell one of his property, I just hope it wont take longer, he said he will try to sort everything, if I explain to him he only said to me yes he knows, but the truth is.. he only listened to same british-friend like him, that why, it takes us longer to sort everything, (his just very slow) his very stupid on this kind of internet, thats why when I was in England last year I would like somebody to speak to him, to explain further, coz I give up explaining... but once british explain to him everything as in everything he will absolutely do as he told...lolz
