So we've booked to fly to the Philippines next month. We've just found out that my 13 and 14 year sister needs this. I'm their brother at 27. The issue is our mum is unable to do the waiver due to her first passport is on going and is required for the waiver form. What would be the likely hood of us actually getting stopped and if I had a letter from our mum giving me permission on the matter.

I've attempted to get in touch with the embassy in London, although I would get further with this if I just keep smashing my head In to a wall over and over again. ( Not sure why I had hopes of help from them haha)

I greatly appreciate any advice on this matter.

    Cheers.

Io don't know what calibre of civil servant they do employ in Philippines Embassies or other Government Departments but I can confidently state that terminal incompetence must be the main requisite for getting the job.

Apart from the fact that phones are routinely not answered, and if by any chance someone new picks up, invariably they don't know a thing, the supervisor is not there, they don't speak pinglish and a partridge on a pear tree.

In January 2019, we spent a fortune in flying over and gather documentation to take to the Italian Embassy to start my wife's trail to Italian Citizenship.
My name on the Marriage Certificate was wrong...... Dominic instead of the Italian "Domenico" as it was correctly written on my Decree absolute, NISI and Passport plus the form I filled in personally of which I still have a copy.

My wife needed to renew her passport because hers expired early 2021....... The earliest online appointment available was for march 2922.
fair enough..... She went all the way to London with a friend, did the whole rigmarole, I filled all the PDF form on the pc at home. Gave her 2 copies, together with passport details pages self addressed envelope ,and bob's your uncle.... 8 weeks later passport turns up, after a quick glance...... Our family name was misspelled..... try to phone for days and in the end a young lady answered and I explained what occurred, she told me to re-apply as soos as possible, but we had to pay another 55 quid for someone else's cock up..
Fill new PDF forms in, 3 copies, new passport details pages 3 copies, and off we go.
Arrive at the Embassy.. Usual mas crowds waiting..... I sail through them (I think barging would have been correct too) and bang unceremoniously at the door. Little bloke opened up and before he had the chance to complain to me I pushed my wife in, told him to correct their mistake and don't expect her to join any queues......
    Done and dusted.
Now my fear is that they probably messed up again......
My niece is getting married in September in Italy and I am wary to book anything until this passport turns up

It is so easy in the UK, with or without Brexit.
