I still use an old Sony P910i but my main phone is the works iphone.

We have a free choice this year on renewal and I will be probably going for an HTC Windows phone of some kind.

You guys seems to be so into HTC... I am not familiar with that phone. I've heard of it, but I am not familiar with its specs and how it works :D It is not famous here in Manila as well. Blackberry is the 'it' phone here in Manila now. :like:

HTC are the name behind many many phones, they are a generic manufacturer that other companies like Smart and Globe and O2 in the UK, brand as their own.

Recently they make more of their own name, promote it more, good company, good technology.

LG 500 Cookie. Very pleased with it. Bought it here for just less than 10,000. Now, you can buy one for less than 4,000!!! :erm: I would actually love to buy an HTC (my son has one and I have played with it and am very impressed!) however, one cannot find them in Cebu.

Oddly you need an entirely different phone in Korea, they are not on the same system as the rest of the world.

My first HTC was a HTC Diamond, it was a Windows phone and was terrible... The touch screen was so unresponsive compared to the Iphone, so my initial thoughts of HTC were not too good, in fact I thought of them as overpriced due to that problem. It was also a previous version of Windows mobile which lacked so much in terms of functionality. As an example, to sync your email contacts with your phone numbers you needed to buy Microsoft Outlook:erm: And if Android, Apple and Blackberry provide that for free, I failed to see the point with a Windows phone...

Not sure if Microsoft have changed that sync issue in the new phones? And until I know if they do or not, I will be sticking with Android:like:

My problem with the iphone is that it forces you to install itunes, I hate that software with a vengeance :)

I've always quite liked the Windows Mobile operating system, used to have a version of it running on my old PDA's a couple of HP iPaq's they were great.

The capacitive screen on the iphone is it's strength and weakness, it is responsive but you can't use a stylus unless you buy a special one, and if you do you then find out that it's actually not that accurate compared to the resistive screens.

I used PDA's for so long that I can type out an email using a stylus much quicker than I can mash out a text or email on an iPhone, so I get frustrated with it.

Yes Activesync could be a pain sometimes it did used to work with Outlook Express as well as outlook but I believe that has changed now.

Regards Windows Mobile 7 I've still not seen it so really don't know much about it yet, whole new programming environment although it is supposed to be Silverlight based, no doubt I will get a look at it sometime.

Ive got an HTC wildfire too and slightly less responsive would be good It can do 100 things you never wanted very quickly even using the optic tracker Im still learning having jumped from my love affair with the Samsung D500 two phones still working fine since 05 one still has the same battery

There is a £12 a month deal on that one I bought mine should have waited the year out though
