When does the calculation of wages start ? From your spouse appointment or when you first apply

I applied in April 2018. But my wife appointment for vfs is may 31. Do I send wage slips upto April or May?

Wage slips and bank statements should be no older than 28 days old on the last statement.

You don't understand what I am saying. I applied April via solicitor.. then my wife appointment is may 31. Does tgat mean I have to provide may wage slip even though I provide April 2018 and backwards 12 months ?

If you applied in April you should of sent off by now your application information and copies.
I assume you have and having payslips and bank statements up to April is fine.

As previously stated, if you sent your online application in April you should have sent your documents by now anyway... as long as you sent the most recently available at the time, that's fine.

Yeah but what I'm trying to find out is .. because I actually filled the online form and paid the fees in April but the appointment is 31 may. Can I get away with sending 12 months upto April instead of may ? No documents haven't been sent yet as apparantly it can be up to 10 working days

Personally I would say that the wage slips should pre date the application, why have you left it over 20 days since application to submit your documents? Also there are not that many days left before your good lady attends to submit her passport and hardcopy of application.

My understanding (I believe it says after you submit the online application) is -

Documentary evidence must reach Sheffield within 20 days (not sure if that is 'working' days, but I erred on the side of caution) of submitting the online application.
Also, you book the VFS appointment after submitting the online application... why did you wait until the end of the following month?
