    ive read the website a bit better if she does apply for a visa its a national one not shengzen...so will fit better with our plans as a lot of the shengzen including france now seem to want 90 days left on the resident permit after holiday date-which we wont have

    Its all in the wording of the card as Keith says, unfortunately our Filipino loved ones do not have the correct wording on their BRPs to travel around Europe visa free like some of our European counterparts :(

    I suppose you could count the visa run to London as a bit of a holiday :)

    Take a look at the link below; it shows a list of countries where Philippine passport holders can travel without the need of obtaining a visa prior to travelling;

    Interestingly, some people we know just been on holiday in Europe. She is here on FLR(M) from Vietnam and should, technically, get a Schengen visa.

    They didn't get one and had no problems at all. They said they just showed their marriage certificate and UK visa.

    I'm not sure I'd take the chance, but they certainly did that.
