    This makes me smile.
Tulingan is a fish. The reason for me smiling is simply because I've never been able to really understand what kind of fish it is.
Everyone seem to have a different answer.
I've honestly tried looking at pictures then comparing to the fish at the wet market and still can't figure it out.
Some folks say it's Mackerel Tuna, others say it's Skipjack Tuna and then some even say it's Frigate Mackerel.
I've even heard it called Bonito Fish.

Personally I prefer the darker and stronger flavour meat of Tulingan for paksiw na isda. Not that I'm all that fond of paksiw really.
It's great for grilling over charcoal as the meat holds together well. And it tastes good too.

Never had Tulingan with coconut milk. Anyway, your dish looks quite interesting.
What's the recipe? Must try that.

By the way are you from Batangas?
