Well, to be honest and upfront, I am not really bothered about the fact that England's bid to host the World Cup in 2018 wasn't successful. I am actually thinking that, from my point of view, it could be abit of a blessing, as what could have happened is that some of my taxes could have been diverted to pay for remodernizing something or the other because the FA would have asked the Government for a handout... The Olimpics were supposed to be self financing, but it ain't happening in a month of sundays... And in some quarters they seem to be blaming the BBC Panorama Expose' on FIFA Bribes scandal for England's failure... How stupid can anyone be to think that....? A free media with unbiased investigative journalism is worth its weight in gold to any Democratic Country. I followed the Panorama programme from start to finish, and the guy has been investigating the matter for years, and only recently, he obtained the proof that it wasn't pie in the sky. The media did a great job in reporting the matter. FIFA is at fault for not cleaning its act and taking it out on England. Probably the only two honest delegates did vote for England....
The Qatar event will be interesting... Thousands of drunk fans in a state run by Sharia.. And potentially an Israeli football squad!!
