We are delighted to announce the launch of the WorldRemit Mobile App for Android devices.

You can download it now by clicking on this link to Google Play

The WorldRemit App is really simple to use. Once you log-in you’ll see all of your account information, including saved recipients and previous transactions.

The WorldRemit App lets you send money anytime, anywhere – whether you’re climbing a mountain, sitting in a coffee shop or soaking in the bath.

The App is currently available to customers in the United Kingdom. We’ll be launching it in other countries very soon.

A version for Apple devices is also on the way.

We hope you enjoy using the WorldRemit App

Yeah I finally have an Android Tablet but it is so flaky that really I am not sure I can trust anything written on that platform, I do like the tablet and it does a lot of stuff well but it is nowhere near as smooth and polished as Windows is these days.

I got the email as well and might try it out but probably not for long.

Yes, I don't think Android is the most secure platform, hence the reason for the development of the blackphone. But Google have got the security model pretty much right with the Chromebook except, of course, they know everything you do, even if no-one else can.

Eventually, Android and the Chrome OS will merge and we will be buying Chrome OS phones. Chrome OS will soon be running Android apps natively and with Chrome OS sort of infiltrating itself into Windows OS, Google is making its intent clear.

I do find it very useful to use my phone to transfer monies between bank accounts and to pay existing payees - much quicker than using the PC and I don't have to use an authentication device which can easily be misplaced.
