Hi all well worth the wait I started dating my good lady and on the second attempt we got our visa. Debs came to the UK in August and life was perfect. We got married in November which took it to another level and then on 17th May our beautiful little girl Shannara was born. You soon forget the cost and hours spent filling forms and collecting evidence and sleepless nights when you are waiting for the outcome of your application. But as soon as we brought our little girl home I know it was all worth it. So all I will say to anyone starting on this journey you will have highs and lows but at the end you will have perfection

I think you are saying "can I reuse my visit visa as it has not expired yet"?

As long as it is still valid then you can use it, note you are only permitted to stay in the UK for 6 months in any 12 month period.

It doesn't matter you're fine, one word of advice though, it would be a good idea to change your passport to your married name before you come to the UK to settle as you obviously have plenty of time.

It will save you some time, money and hassle by only using your married name once settled in the UK.

You can change your name when your passport expires if you wish, when you are filling in any visa forms it will always ask you for other names (Also Known As - AKA) so you shouldn't have a problem.

I would include your marriage certificate in the travel documents you carry with you. You might get asked my wife did first time we traveled together as man and wife, her passport didn't have her married name on it and everything was good.
