Are you trying to draw comparisons between the erstwhile German Chancellor with the current President of the Philippines?

The Night of the Long Knives, or Operation "Hummingbird", in mid-1934 was a purge of the leaders of the Nazis' paramilitary organisation, the Sturmabteilung (better known as the "Brownshirts"), conducted by the Nazi regime when it carried out a series of political extrajudicial executions intended to consolidate Hitler's absolute hold on power in Germany. Nothing in Duterte's past career as Mayor, Deputy Mayor or City Prosecutor comes even close - or are you suggesting that Duterte consolidated his power base by assassinating his political opponents?!

And this is a political thread in open forum. Tsk-Tsk.
