Our first time to go to Barrio Fiesta. Anyone there yesterday? We tried some Filipino food. My husband likes ube ice cream and pork dinuguan. He said ube flavour is his new favourite ice cream now. I heard one lady said this year is not as busy as last year. The organiser said this maybe the last event for Yorkshire. That's sad coz I enjoyed it. Only Gino Padilla came as performer, Sam Milby did'nt make it. But I enjoyed Gino's performance, it was lively, he sang some classic romantic and dance tunes. Which Barrio Fiesta did you all go last year? I would like to meet some from BF forum.
Hello. A load of us met in one of the Birmingham Festivals. I can't remember the name now but sure someone will post it. Was great to meet lots of the other members and their families. Sadly I don't think it's been arranged to meet this year.
It isn't for the lack of interest on my part, I find myself twice as busy as last year, and time off, even for the Mrs in her new job, is at a premium, and very often we don't seem to have the chance to be off at the same time. The company I work for, has added 60 more show days to an already busy calendar, and my picking and choosing of more profitable venues is frowned upon... So for this year I have to toe the line, a bit.
There's one in Manchester on the 25th of June and my husband and I will go. It will be at Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Longbridge Rd, Old Traford M17 1SN. We went to the one on the same venue last year and was just so happy to see so many Filipinos under one roof Let me know if you will go so we can meet up
I would love to go to the Manchester one, but I will be in Edinburgh until about 5-ish pm, and starting off foe the long drive home....
