Thank you for all the wishes! I arrived safe in UK on Thursday but forgot to get my suitcase because I was too excited to get out of the airport so I had ask somebody to get it lol

Well no amount of asking for the sticker to be added to the passport early worked. They said it cannot be issued until on or after the visa start date.
They gave her a phone number to ring for the cfo office based at the airport terminal and advised her to call two days before the flight (which was on May 1st).
She rang them on the 29th April and they arranged a meeting in one of the lounges for 3 hours or so before the flight and told her what documents they required.
She arrived at the airport 4 hours before the flight and just asked the guard where to go for the cfo sticker. They directed her to the cfo desk and she got her sticker there within a few minutes of arriving at the airport.
So happy days and not the panic or stressful event we were dreading.
We have been together in UK for nearly a month now and have our wedding due in 2 more weeks.
Then it will be the FLR............

My wife has the CFO Certificate but, she doesn't have a VISA for anywhere yet so, she doesn't have the CFO Sticker in her passport.

On the CFO FAQ ( http://www.cfo.gov.ph/faqs/2014-06-20-06-35-41.html ) it says:

Question 14.: I already have a guidance and counselling certificate and hold a temporary/ visitor visa. Do I still need to register at the CFO and be issued a sticker?
Answer: No. If you are fiancé (e)/ spouse/partner of a foreign national or a former Filipino and you hold a visitor/ tourist visa, you only need a guidance and counselling certificate from our office. Kindly present the CFO Guidance and Counselling Certificate (GCC) to the port of exit and show them your temporary/ visit visa and other requirements asked by your host country.

So am I right in thinking that if she applies for a Schengen Category "C" (short-term visa) Visa she won't need the sticker but if she applies for a Schengen Category "D" (national visa) she will ?

Or is it more complicated than that?

My wife in Philippines recently got spouse visa to join me in UK. She got CFO 'Guidance and Counselling certificate' before getting spouse visa.

1) Does she need to go back to CFO office to get registration sticker on passport? Or, is it enough to just show the CFO certificate at airport?

2) Does CFO sticker has any expiration date?

3) Does she need to also attend PDOS seminar from CFO? CFO website says everyone leaving Philippines should attend this pre-departure seminar.

4) Is there any other requirement that she needs to fulfill to avoid any problem in flying from Manila?

Your wife must go back and get the sticker, make sure she takes the certificate. It will be stuck into her passport.
There is no expiry date for the CFO but the visa must be used within 30 days.
As far as I know the guidance and counseling is the only one needed.
The only other documentation needed is a boarding pass

Just to add for future first time travellers, there is a travel tax, which needs to be paid at manila airport. I paid it online while booking the flight. It was around 33 USD.

Good point about the travel tax, you won't get your boarding pass without it.

I went to CFO Manila after I went at VFS Manila and have my UK spouse visa.
suddenly my visa will be valid on the 23rd of Oct which is soon. Very crazy they didnt put the CFO sticker because the system might go mixed up because of the date! haha very funny

I dont know if that is right that they didnt put the CFO sticker even I have my visa on my passport. I cant see any point on that reason. correct me if i am wrong hehe I just dont understand the reason.

You won't get the sticker till on or after the visa valid date silly really as you can't leave before the valid date.

haha yes very silly anyway will be back on the 24th of october. The person at CFO have a suggestion too that if I want I can have my sticker done before my flight at manila airport so I dont need to go back on their office so less hassle but too scary tho :S

Yes you can get it at the airport for me though if I could get it before I would, there is enough to do at the airport, like last minute gifts enjoy your flight and a warm welcome awaits you in the UK. (Except the weather)

I just want to verify, do you get the CFO sticker the same day of the seminar?

If your visa is valid so if your visa valid from date is the same day or before you attend the seminar then yes you will,if the valid date is after the seminar you will have to go back for the stamp.
